Victorian State Election 2010
The Victorian State Election will be held on Saturday 27 November 2010. You can vote either in person at the Australian Embassy in Rome or by applying for a postal vote. You will need to know which Australian address you are currently enrolled at in order to be issued with the correct ballot papers for your district. You can check at www.131vec.com.au or by calling +61 3 9299 0520. The Australian Embassy in Rome will be conducting early voting from Wednesday 17 November to Friday 26 November from 09.00 to 17.00 (excluding weekends). Alternatively, you can apply for a postal vote by going to www.131vec.com.au and printing off and completing a postal vote application form. You should return this to the Australian Embassy in Rome via post, email or fax. Postal vote applications are also available from the Australian Embassy in Rome. The Embassy will accept postal vote applications until 8am on Thursday 25 November. Your ballot papers will then be sent to you to complete and post back. If you opt for a postal vote, apply now so that we can get your ballot papers to you as early as possible. If you are unable to attend an overseas voting centre or complete a postal vote you should notify the VEC as soon as possible.
