by Matt Slick
According to Jehovah's Witness' theology, God is a single person, not a Trinity , who does not know all things and is not everywhere. He first created Michael the Archangel through whom He created all "other things," including the universe, the earth, Adam and Eve, etc. This creative work took God 42,000 years. At one point, The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society taught that God ruled the universe from somewhere in the Pleiades star system. They have since modified this to say that the "Pleiades can no longer be considered the center of the universe and it would be unwise for us to try to fix God's throne as being at a particular spot in the universe." Such changes and even contradictions in teaching are frequent in the Watchtower organization and when a doctrine changes, they tell their followers that the light of truth is getting brighter. After Adam sinned, the paradise which God had created for them was ruined. So, God instituted a system of redemption which was revealed in the Bible and would ultimately lead to the crucifixion of Jesus the messiah. But, in the meantime, God needed to have a visible, theocratic organization on earth to accurately represent Him. Throughout history, this true organization had a remnant of faithful Jehovah's Witnesses (Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, etc.) but it wasn't until the late 1800's that Charles Taze Russell formally began what is now known as the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society which is run out of Brooklyn, New York. This organization claims to be the only true channel of God's truth on earth today and that it alone can properly interpret God's word since it is the angel directed prophet of God on earth.

From New World Encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation search Previous (Jehoshaphat) Next (Jehu) The sacred Jewish name for God YHWH rendered in Phoenician, Aramaic, and Modern Hebrew scripts. The name is pronounced Jehovah by modern Jehovah's Witnesses. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are an international religious organization that rejects much of modern Christianity in favor of what they believe to be a restoration of first-century Christianity. The religion was developed in response to what was perceived to be "compromise and corruption in mainstream Christianity” and it repudiates common Christian doctrines such as the Trinity hellfire , immortality of the soul , and clergy-laity divisions, interpreting them as illegitimate additions to the original church's teachings. The name "Jehovah’s Witnesses" is derived from a number of biblical passages in which the disciples of YHWH (pronounced "Jehovah" by the group) are called "Witnesses" (Isaiah 43:10). The community adopted the term "Jehovah' Witnesses" in 1931. Jehovah's Witnesses are governed by their understanding of scriptural laws and principles based on instructions received from the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, that is, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., a legal organization in use by Jehovah’s Witnesses for their ministry work. The Watchtower Society has been publishing religious materials since the late nineteenth century: its most widely known publications being the magazines

Back online again!
July 2nd, 2009 16 comments Due to problems with my previous host Watchtower Information Service went down on January 23 2009. Because of family issues I didn’t have time to bring it back online until now. I ‘resurrected’ most of the articles, but unfortunately I lost some articles and a lot of comments of our visitors. In order to bring the site back online I had to rebuild the site from the ground up. I added an improved News from Online Sources section that is updated several times a day if there is news. The design of the site is quite basic. In the future I’ll work on a more appealing design. If you encounter any problems you can leave a comment. Hopefully the thousands of visitors that came before the long blackout will find their way to my site again. I hope I’ll be able to continue to serve the public with valuable information regarding Jehovah’s Witnesses like I did the previous ten years. Click here if you want to support this site.

The purpose of this web site is to keep an eye on the Watchtower Society who se members call themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. As the name of the site indicates it will try to tell you what's really inside the Tower. Watchtower officials and the individual Jehovah's Witness in this very controversial sect, all present a very glossy picture of life inside the Tower walls. There is therefore a great need for more accurate information about what is really going on. This site will endeavor to do this by using ordinary information, sarcasm and humor.
