I think employers must think I don't want a full-time job. I'm looking for full-time but only get offered temporary jobs that pay $8-$10 per hour. The last job I had was at a college bookstore working for the back to school rush. I worked for three weeks. I only got 10-15 hours a week of work and $8.50/hour. In NYC, that's nothing. I didn't even put it on my resume. I don't want to look like a job hopper.
The job I had before that was as a math and reading tutor. I worked from January to June, about 15 hours a week. That's all they would give me. At one point, they told me I could only tutor two kids at a time.
