Welcome to ALLUNY!
Since 1954 the Association of Law Libraries of Upstate New York (ALLUNY) has been bringing together law library staff and people interested in law libraries from Upstate New York for professional development, networking, and social activities. ALLUNY is a Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the national organization for law libraries. ALLUNY strives to provide its membership with the highest opportunities for networking, information sharing, professional support and education. Benefits of membership include participation in ALLUNY meetings and workshops , the chapter listserv , the ALLUNY Newsletter grant funding opportunities and fun ALLUNY members work in all aspects of law librarianship, including academic, court and firm libraries. Members live and work in major metropolitan areas and within rural communities. The professional expertise of the membership likewise encompasses all arenas, from reference to research, from technical services to administration. ALLUNY members teach and practice law and build library systems. Law and library science students are also a vibrant part of the ALLUNY community. About LLAM
The Law Library Association of Maryland (L.L.A.M.) is a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries . It was established in 1982 to promote library and information services, to develop and increase the usefulness of law libraries, to cultivate the science of law librarianship, and to foster a spirit of cooperation among members of the profession. The Association sponsors monthy educations programs for members. Past programs have included a discussion of state legislative history research, a talk with Chief Judge of the Maryland District Court, and a forum on vendor-neitral citation formats. Annual social gatherings are also planned.

Welcome to the
Douglas County Law Library Website
The Law Library is open to everyone. The public has access 12 hours per week (see Library Hours page) and attorneys who have been issued keys have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Library provides print resources for a Kansas-based practice and electronic resources including the Lexis on-line legal database. All Library users have free access to all of the Library's resources.

News: Registration Fee increase: The primary funding source for the Douglas County Law Library is docket fees. Collections have been down significantly this year. In order to maintain the high quality of service the Law Library provides to its users, the Douglas County Law Library Board of Trustees has voted to increase the annual Law Library Registration Fee to $25.00 for 2011. Problem with Printing from Lexis: Lexis is experiencing problems with the interface between its printer utility and Internet Explorer. This requires a temporary change in the procedure to print from Lexis in the Library. We are waiting on Lexis to release a new printer utility. Until they do, you will need follow a modified procedure to print from Lexis. Details are in the Library.
