The Parent Leadership Project was originated by parents and is staffed by parents whose children have received Early Intervention Services. Created through the generous support of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the lead agency for the statewide Early Intervention system, the Project works in collaboration with Early Intervention Programs, the Massachusetts Interagency Coordinating Council, and families who receive Early Intervention services for three main purposes:
  • To develop an informed parent constituency;
    To promote leadership and lifelong advocacy skills for parents and family members; and,
    To facilitate family participation to ensure that Early Intervention Services are family-centered.

    The Massachusetts Music Teachers Association is a nonprofit, professional organization dedicated to maintaining standards of excellence among its member teachers. At the state level, MMTA offers a conference, a statewide student contest, noncompetitive student evaluations, the National Music Certificiate Program and composition commissioning program. Members' students are eligible to compete in the MTNA national performance and composition competitions at all levels. Through MMTA's affiliation with Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) , it is possible for members to obtain national certification. In the membership directory, those members who have met national requirements for certification are identified as NCTM, Nationally Certified Teacher of Music.

    The Massachusetts Senior Classical League is an organization dedicated to promoting the classics. We are part of the National Senior Classical League which is the college-level affiliate of the National Junior Classical League , both of which are under the supervision of the American Classical League. Our members are mostly college students going to school in Massachusetts or a neighboring state, many of whom were once members of the NJCL.
    ~*~What We Do~*~
    MaSCL's primary goal is to assist the Massachusetts JCL with their annual state convention. We also publish a newsletter, write Certamen questions and academic tests, and meet socially about once a month during the school year. At least one of these meetings takes place in Western Massachusetts, though most are in the Boston metropolitan area. Lastly, we provide funding to assist our members in attending the NJCL National Convention NSCL Song and Creed
