Military Schools
Financial Aid College Loans College Savings Plans Scholarships ... College Faculty There are basically two types of military schools: secondary military schools and postsecondary military schools. Several studies have demonstrated that teens who need direction and focus can often have their lives transformed by military school. There are many military schools throughout the United States designed to teach teens about discipline and responsibility. Teens who attend military school, regardless of whether or not they are troubled, are introduced to a structure and behavioral model that is rarely seen in other environments. Military schools often give students a sense of self-worth and confidence that is hard to attain otherwise. Postsecondary military schools prepare individuals for a career in the armed forces, and are generally very competitive to get into. Depending upon what branch of the service you want to go into, there are military schools for the army, navy, air force, and marines. Postsecondary military schools are a good choice for career military personnel who envision themselves in a supervisory role. Graduates of postsecondary military schools may go on to have decorated careers leading one of the branches in the armed forces, or they may work for the government. Unlike enlisted men and women, many graduates of military schools spend their career working up the ranks of the branch of their choice.

A couple of these include the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the Unites States (AMCSUS) . All military schools should be approved by the U.S. Department of Defense and should also maintain an accredited status with their respective regional accrediting bodies.
