International Journal of Green Nanotechnology is a unique, three-part journal focusing on the important challenges and latest advances in the chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, and other scientific aspects of green nanotechnology as well as on their societal impact and the policies that have been or should be developed to address them. This journal comprises three parts:
  • International Journal of Green Nanotechnology: Physics and Chemistry : Articles present work in chemistry and physics toward green nanoparticle production, characterization, and their propertiesall leading to green nanotechnology development. These original articles and reviews present new green-nanotechnological processes for the production of well-known nanoparticulate constructs that are in some cases already in use.
  • International Journal of Green Nanotechnology: Biomedicine : Articles address biocompatibility and nanomedical applications of green nanotechnologies, including the development of new medical diagnostic and therapeutic agents and biological sensors.

COMPOSITES/NANO ENGINEERING (ICCE - 18)
ICCE-18 Anchorage, Alaska,USA, July 4-10, 2010
Infrastructure Symposium Nanocomposites Symposium General Applications Symposium Smart Composites Symposium Chemical Prop. Symposium Mathematical Modeling Symposium Computation Symposium Metal Matrix Comp. Symposium Nanocomposites Symposium Message from ICCE Chairman
The ICCE conference is unique in that while it is an engineering conference, it has attracted numerous chemists, physicists and scientists from diverse fields in our efforts to promote interdisciplinary research on composites. Of particular concern is the challenge for materials engineers to understand the wide diversity of length scales ranging from nano to micro to macro and full scale and to question the validity of the theories or models which are known to be valid only in certain length scales. The ICCE is among the first composite materials conferences which take a leading vital role to bridge the gap between nano-chemistry and nano-engineering, and attracted hundreds of papers in this existing relatively new field of nano-composites engineering. The ICCE conference will provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas in virtually all areas composite materials research. The goals of the ICCE conference are:

What is Nanotechnology?
Nano Basics
Nanotechnology harnesses the unusual behaviors of materials at a very small scale to achieve amazing scientific and practical results. A nanometer is one-billionth of a meter. A sheet of paper is about 100,000 nanometers thick. Dimensions between approximately 1 and 100 nanometers are known as the nanoscale. Materials behave in different and often useful ways at the nanoscale. Applications of these unusual properties are emerging in aerospace, agriculture, biotechnology, medicine, energy, environmental improvement, information technology, transportation, and impact homeland security and national defense. Nanotechnology is used in everything from electronic devices to sunscreens–rapidsly expanding and predicted to grow jobs by leaps and bounds. (The U.S. Department of Labor predicts an increase up to 2 million jobs related to nanotech, from 200,000 in 2010.)
Commercial Applications
New commercial applications of nanotechnology expected in two to five years in these and other industries include:
  • Advanced drug delivery systems, including implantable devices that automatically administering drugs and capable of sensoring drug level
