Global Entrepreneurship Week Continues Through 11/20
Rising Tide Capital , a local non-profit organization that provides training and coaching to entrepreneurs, will spear- head the 3rd Annual Global Entre- preneurship Week (GEW) workshops November 15th through November 20th in Jersey City. Jersey City will be joining communities in more than 100 countries across the globe recognizing entrepren- eurship as a means of unleashing innovation and spurring economic growth.
This year, in addition to City Hall and the Jersey City Urban Enterprise Zones program, local non-profit organizations, government agencies, arts groups, colleges and universities, small businesses and corporations have partnered to create a week-long calendar of over 30 events that champion Jersey City entrepreneurship. The kick-off was held at City Hall on Monday, November 15th. Events will continue all week, ending with the  Green Fair on November 21st. “Small businesses and entrepreneurs have always been at the forefront of leading this country out of economic tough times and I have no doubt that remains so today, ” said Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy. “I applaud Rising Tide Capital and Alfa Demmellash for continuing to help anyone with a dream, and the heart to achieve it, start and maintain their own businesses. That makes Jersey City not only a stronger community, but a place in which local businesses can thrive.”
