STREET CHILDREN IN MEXICO CITY by K e n t K l i c h
Mexico City, 1986
. I have just arrived to the largest urban center the world has ever known. A megalopolis of twenty million people ( and some say more) sprawling across a 7,500-foot-high valley surrounded in every direction by even higher mountains. Mexico City is the industrial and commercial hub of the nation and it keeps growing. In the streets I encounter many children, the majority between the ages of 5 and 15. Most of them are from some kind of family but have been forced into the streets to find ome support for themselves and those at home. The least lucky ones are those who have been abandoned by their families and live night and day on the street. For the street-child the gang becomes their new family, where the strongest is the leader and has to prove it. They work, beg and steal to get money for food and glue. Drugs become the means to escape the violence that they constantly are exposed to. It has been said that there are a million street-children in Mexico City. Looking at these numbers makes the mind reel, the amount stands in the way of any possible solution, and gives one the feeling of exhaustion. But from my experience I believe that these numbers are greatly exagerated.

Northern New Mexico
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation search Northern New Mexico may simply mean the northern part of New Mexico , but in cultural terms it usually means the area of heavy Spanish settlement in the north-central part. The traditional southern boundary of the area is an escarpment called La Bajada southwest of Santa Fe . The other boundaries are poorly defined. The map in Cobos (1983) is a guide: from La Bajada the boundary runs northwest about 50 miles (80 km) west of U.S. Routes 285 and , and northeast about 20 miles (30 km) east of Interstate 25 , to the Colorado border. The area might also be described roughly as comprising Rio Arriba Los Alamos Taos , and Colfax Counties; northeastern Sandoval County , northern Santa Fe County ; and western San Miguel and Mora Counties, possibly with parts of adjoining counties. To the west is the Four Corners region; to the east is "Little Texas".

Taking the Gospel to the people of Latin America
Mission Mexico City joins IMPACTO Latino
    December 9, 2008
Welcome to the Team By Luke
For all of you who have been following our email prayer updates, you know that we have been praying over the past couple of months about becoming team members with Impacto Latino, a church planting organization here in the Mexico City Valley. All of you also know that Lindsay and I have been praying for a long time about teammates, as we know the work of a new church plant is too great for just one couple. And now, we are pleased, blessed, and excited to announce that God has provided us with a wonderful team! When we first met Eric and Dee Duggins a few years ago at a missionary reunion in Mexico, we were immediately impressed with the church planting that they and their team were doing. As a matter of fact, Lindsay and I so liked what we saw, that we began researching church planting models like theirs in preparation for the new work we felt God calling us to. Now Eric and Dee and their team are beginning a new church plant in an area just north of Mexico City called Pachuca. We began talking with them about coaching us through our church plant on Mexico City’s south side, and as our conversations progressed, it became apparent that God was opening the door for something more. Rather than us beginning on on our own in the south, and Eric and Dee beginning in the north, with both groups looking for additional team members, why not join forces?

The beginning of the new millennium marks a new era in global information technology and its management. While the eighties and the nineties witnessed global business and global IT expansion, the issues in global IT have now reached a new level of interest and maturity. The trends in global IT in the new millennium are irreversible, and it is imperative that we study them and address them in a serious and concerted manner. The Global Information Technology Management Association's mission is to promote the careful examination and dissemination of IT management issues in all parts of the world. The world focus is the primary and key strength of the association. While academic issues are certainly important, the association places an equal emphasis on practitioner and industry issues of information technology.
