NCETC 2009
Celebrating 22 Years of Service to Educators! NCETC and its Staff are taking a sabbatical this year! Due to the economic situation that is impacting many of our vendors and all school systems in North Carolina, we will not be holding the early December conference as we have for the past twenty-one years but are in the process of gathering information to rethink the NCETC format. By doing so, we hope to both better meet the needs of and match the financial options of our educators and business partners as we move forward. We thank you for your past support and encourage you to watch this NCETC website for updates! The North Carolina Educational Technology Conference A Non-Profit Corporation

http://teach4nc.org/
Welcome to Teach4NC, dedicated to the recruitment of teaching professionals for public schools in North Carolina. Over the next decade our state's school systems and charter schools will employ over 100,000 new teachers, with more than 12,500 employed annually. That's a formidable challenge, and it begins today. We have immediate needs for teachers in all subjects, at all teaching levels, in all areas of our state. To meet this need, we look to you - the experienced teacher, the beginning teacher, the recent graduate of a college/university teaching program. But we're also looking beyond "traditional" teaching professionals to individuals without education degrees, teacher training, and experience. We also look to individuals in and beyond our business, military, and retirement communities - to individuals with degrees who are seeking a new professional challenge, one with rewards that only teaching can offer. To explore how you can Teach4NC, please go to Legal Notice North Carolina Department of Public Instruction

As parents, making informed decisions about our children's education is more important now than ever before. In the world of public school testing, the stakes are high for parents, children, and our teachers. The educational material that we buy for our children should parallel what our children learn in school. However, this often is not the case. There are no guarantees.
Please pardon our mess while we undergo construction. Be sure to check back with us again for exciting information! At North Carolina Parent our goal is to bring you, the parent, evaluations of software, books, videos, etc. We will inform you about how a particular item fits into the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (public school curriculum). We welcome your ideas and suggestions for evaluations you would like to see. This site will do evaluations against the North Carolina curriculum. If you live in another state, there is no guarantee that our evaluations relate to your state.
