      Degree Offered: Format: M.S. Campus

The M.S. Education/General Studies program is designed in two tracks. Track I: If you are a certified secondary or middle school teacher and would like to major in the field of education and to minor in another academic discipline (usually in your teaching area). Track II: If you are not a certified educator but wish to pursue the study of education as a social institution in a program that does not require or lead to licensure. Students in this category have included librarians, physical therapists, coordinators of outreach programs, and college administrators and instructors. Welcome to the Pathfinder Parent Center Website Parent Involvement When Students Have Disabilities About 80% of high-school parents whose students have learning difficulties are helping their teenager learn at home and about 77% percent go to parent teacher conferences. How do we know that?  The Harvard Family Resarch project looked at several diffferent studies to learn more about parent involvement when students have special needs. You can read more about that at:  http://www.hfrp.org/publications-resources/browse-our-publications/family-involvement-in-the-education-of-secondary-school-age-students-with-disabilities The Pathfinder Parent Center listens to parents from all across North Dakota. Here is a summary of what some parents say would help with school involvement!
  • Please take extra time and show us we are welcome at school. Let us know what is going on at school - in advance. Help us think of ways our child can be involved in the same things other teens are doing. We may not know what other parents do to get involved. Show us what to do.

This Week's Feature Old Red Trail : How the Old Red Trail Came to Be
Overview
North Dakotans embraced the automobile as it became more reliable, especially considering the state’s rural nature. Farmers, in particular, took adantage of the ease of transportation to travel quickly across large swaths of land, whether to visit neighbors, go shopping in distant towns, sell their farm products, or simply enjoy a nice day with a ride down an old dirt road.
