Rising costs and lagging consumer confidence will lead to only modest growth in domestic vacation travel, said Suzanne Cook, senior vice president of research for the Travel Industry Association of America. "The travel industry has largely recovered from a downturn that resulted after Sept. 11," she said Thursday during a conference call with journalists across the nation.
