'Reservations in India have contributed to the downward trend for Brahmins'
Brahmins are under attack - and that is why they should hold on to power,
and to their monopoly over education; and create a unified front to
reassert their role.
That is the message coming out of the three-day 8th annual convention of
the Brahmin Samaj of North America.
One hundred and ten families from North America and Canada attended the
convention, which concluded July 10. Half-a-dozen participants from India
headed by Ramesh Dayal Dixit, general secretary of the All India Brahmin Board, participated in the event.
