Nickel Chrome Plate temperature thresholds
We are a manufacturer of UV Curing Systems that use extruded aluminum (6063-T5)reflectors with high polish to refelct Ultraviolet Light toward the material to cure Inks and coatings. Recently, we began using a nickel chrome as a highly reflective covering which gave us outstanding results of reflectivity.
The problem we encountered was a bubbling of the chrome surface and ultimately a shaling off of the chrome due to exposure to the high heat of 550 degrees F. The surface under the chrome was polished to remove impurities and then ethced to provide good bond.
Any recommendations for a coating that will either simply a clear coat to protect the polished aluminum from the high heat and Ozone environment or a highly reflective coating that will withstand the harsh environment for years? Mark Hahn
AAA Press Int'l - Arlington Heights, IL USA Such reflectors are usually brite dipped (or electropolished) and anodized. Often they are dyed gold if they will be used for infrared, but I don't know enough optics to understand the value of the dyeing. I am surprised that you found nickel chrome satisfactory because it far "darker" than people tend to think and absorbs a great deal of the heat rather than reflecting it. Rhodium is a far better reflector. I don't think it's the temperature that is the problem so much as the substrate. Aluminum requires an immersion zincating process that is always more troublesome adhesion-wise than plating on brass or steel. By the time it gets to 550 degrees these problems are amplified. It may be possible to improve the preplate cycle but that doesn't sound like the easiest way out.

    Air Purifiers and Ozone
All people have realized the importance of healthy life. It makes the needs of Air Purifiers is become the top. However, Air Purifiers decrease its reputation because of their ozone output. Indeed, it is said that they were created to produce only 0.025ppm of ozone for the room space they are intended. This is significantly lower than the CSA and EPA standard of 0.040ppm and the 0.050ppm required by many state laws. Actually, there is ozone between 0.01ppm and 0.125ppm found in the atmosphere. Research carried out by some experts showed that some brands of Air Purifiers is safely and effectively. While operated in suitable-sized rooms, the ozone produced by the units are not more than the regulatory levels of ppm. They stand behind the fact that the units that were tested emit ozone levels that will saturate to less than 0.05ppm in the room size. Based on research, the most critical component of owning an air cleaning system is using them in the right size space. When the air purifiers are used properly, they work as intended and do not emit harmful levels of ozone. In contrast, if used inappropriately the results could be harmful.

Blown Film Station
The Split Box is an economical system primarily used in the cast and blown film extrusion industries. The corona treater design promotes ease of thread-up along with an industry first with a sophisticated break away electrode design.
Easy Installation
Standard mounting brackets and lifting eyes make installation quick and easy. The high voltage transformer is mounted directly to the station with all high voltage connections factory wired and tested.
Quick Start-Up
Durable
  • Stainless steel electrodes for reduced contamination and easy cleaning. In order to protect the treater rolls, a zero speed switch automatically shuts down the power supply when the web achieves low line speeds. Roll bearings are outside of ozone environment to prolong bearing life. Easy view windows allow clear unobstructed view of corona discharge. Electrodes are provided with optimal support to enhance rigidity and eliminate sagging.
Versatile
Safe
  • Safety interlocks prevent operation of power supply if access covers are removed or if station is in the thread-up position. Electrode area is completely covered by lightweight aluminum panels.

Although much of our equipment is designed to meet the requirements of internationally accepted specifications, we combine technologies to meet many custom requirement. - Environmental Simulation Categories - High and Low Temperature Altitude Simulation Humidity Solar Radiation ... Lithium Battery Testing High and Low Temperature Extreme temperatures are the leading cause of failure in almost all types of equipment. Our computer controlled chambers can produce constant or cyclic temperatures ranging from -200 F to 2500 F. Multiple walk-in chambers as well as numerous smaller chambers allow for flexibility to meet any schedule. Our walk-in chambers can be easily expanded to accommodate almost any size product. Automated thermal shock testing is also available. Top Altitude Simulation Our computer controlled chambers can produce climbing or descending profiles up to 100,000 feet. They can also be utilized for explosive or rapid decompression scenarios. In addition to altitude, we have a chamber for simulating deep immersion in water. Temperature can be varied during the test according to the specification desired.

We hypothesized that ozone would reduce carbon availability to the plants, particularly below ground, and would affect mycorrhizal colonization. Because of the wide geographic range of E. glaucus, two populations of plants were selected from areas of contrasting ozone histories to examine intraspecies variation in response to ozone. Tropical ocean sucks up vast amounts of ozone
An important mechanism for sucking ozone and methane out of the atmosphere has been discovered over the tropical Atlantic. The finding reveals how the two greenhouse gasses are kept in check by natural chemical reactions. Researchers warn, however, that there is a risk the process could be overpowered by rising industrial pollution. The data collected in Cape Verde, off the western coast of Africa, suggests that 50% more ozone is being destroyed above the tropical Atlantic Ocean than previously thought, because of halogens released by the seawater. The process also increases the amount of methane pumped out of the lower atmosphere by up to 12% each day. It could occur in tropical oceans worldwide and could considerably improve the forecasts generated by the models used to study climate change.

20. What Is Ozone,Ozonators,Ozone Generators,ozoniser
What is ozone and how it get produced by Ozonators,Ozone Generators, ozoniser
http://www.ozoneworld.com/what-is-ozone.html
What is Ozone ? Ozone is a high energy and very unstable molecule composed of three oxygen atoms (O3). The extra atom of oxygen attempts to recombine any things in its path in order to stabilise. When it comes in contact with contaminants such as Bacteria, Virus, or Organic Waste Materials Ozone acts as an oxidizer. Ozone is the strongest oxidizer commercially available. How Ozone is Produce ? O zone is produce from lightning bolts during an electric storm. The electric discharge disassociates the oxygen molecule in the air. The fresh smell that is present after a thunderstorm is a proof that mother nature is purifying the air. Ultraviolet rays from the sun reacts with oxygen in our atmosphere to form our protective ozone layer. Aquazone duplicated these process using charged electrodes. When the air we breath which contains 21% oxygen, is passed thorough the ozonator , the oxygen in air is converted to ozone. How does ozone works ?
