Founded in 1905 and located in New York City, Julliard has a notoriously low acceptance rate of approximately 7 percent. Those lucky and talented enough to get accepted will form part of a total student body numbering close to 800 undergraduates who can choose one of the three main pillars of performing arts: dance, drama and music. Annual tuition fees for the 2009-2010 academic year are $30,500, which does not include room, board, books or supplies.
