    CAMPEP-Approved Medical Physics M.S. Progam
The 36-point Program in Medical Physics, registered with the state of New York, leads to the M.S. degree. It is administered by faculty from the School of Engineering and Applied Science in collaboration with faculty from the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Mailman School of Public Health . It provides preparation toward certification by the American Board of Radiology.
The Program consists of a core curriculum of medical and nuclear physics courses, laboratory courses, anatomy, two practicums, a tutorial, and a seminar. Specific course requirements in the School of Engineering and Applied Science are APPH E4010 APPH E4710 APPH E4711 APPH E4500 ... APPH E4600 and APBM E4650 , and in the Mailman School of Public Health, EHSC P6330 EHSC P9319 EHSC P9330 and EHSC P9335 . Some opportunities for specialization exist. A passing grade on a comprehensive examination is required for graduation. This examination, on subjects covered in the curriculum, is taken after two terms of study.

You've bought your ticket and boarded the roller coaster. Now you're barreling down the track at 60 miles per hour, taking hairpin turns and completing death-defying loops. Your heart is in your throat and your stomach is somewhere near your shoes. The only thing separating you from total disaster is a safety harness...but are you really in danger? The designers of the roller coaster carefully crafted this thrilling ride to be just that, but you're actually in less danger than you think. You face a greater threat of injury playing sports or riding a bike than you do on a park ride. Amusement park rides use physics laws to

Intuitor.com High School Physics Page Local hex time: Local standard time: Physics, the Neglected Science Of the the three major sciences taught in the high schools of the United States, physics is the most neglected. It has more misconceptions associated with its principle than any of the other science, not to mention an undeserved reputation for difficulty. Yet physics is is the foundation of modern technology and a key requirement for millions of high paying careers in engineering, computer science, and medicine. These pages have been created to help increase awareness about the value of physics and to lend support to high school physics students, teachers, and parents. Why Take Physics? Intuitor.com provides ten good reasons why every high school student should take physics even those who are not "math and science people".
