Basil Bunting Poetry Centre
The Basil Bunting Poetry Centre at Durham University fosters study and research on Northumbrian poet Basil Bunting, on poets associated with him through the region, and on the modernist/post-modernist tradition. The Centre also continues to promote the practice of "live" poetry reading which Bunting championed, and gives support to the development of the Basil Bunting Poetry Archive in the University Library. The founding Directors of the Centre were:

The Centre is currently run by Professor Stephen Regan of the Department of English Studies. This site offers a range of information about the Bunting research activities and study opportunities in this region, as well as basic information on Basil Bunting. We meet in the Austin History Center, 911 Guadalupe (beside the main public library). All our meetings are open to the public and free.
