  • Home About RAMS The Radio Amateur Mobile Society is one of oldest HAM clubs in the Sacramento region with members from Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer counties. With the wide variety of amateur radio bands available, our members are out on the air working the bands constantly meeting new HAMs across the world and sharing their experiences with their fellow RAMS members. The RAMS meet every Second Thursday of the month at Denny's at the corner of Greenback and Hazel at 7:30 p.m. to discuss their happenings and to plan upcoming activities. We operate the K7UGE repeaters on 146.940 (PL 100.0) and 448.500 (PL 100.0) as well as the QST machine on 146.730 (currently off the air). Please note, that as of this moment, the repeaters above are being repaired, and we are holding our weekly club nets on the WA7HXO repeater 145.11 (PL 100.0). We will make a note here about when the club repeaters are back on the air.

Club meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month except December. Next Meeting: 7:00PM, Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Salvation Army Building (2900 Palomino Lane; on Palomino Between Rancho and Campbell). For driving directions, please see the map at the bottom of this page. A club sponsored net meets on non-meeting Tuesdays at 7:00 PM on our repeaters. As of this time, the club net is held on the VHF repeater (146.940). In the near future, we will reconnect the link to our UHF repeater (448.500). All are invited to participate in the net and to attend the club's monthly meetings.

Club Profile
The club was formed in 1995 by a few ham radio enthusiasts at Nellis AFB . We are affiliated with Nellis AFB through our sponsorship by 99th Services Squadron's Outdoor Recreation. With our affiliation we support them by providing communications for some of their community events and participate in some of the events with them. Some annual events we provide communications for is Corporate Challenge and their Volk's March. Other events that we assist with providing communications for are Challenge Cup Relay aka Baker to Vegas, Silver State Classic, and Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) along with other community events. In November 2003 we became an ARRL affiliated club. Our members are also active with other amateur radio related groups to include RACES, ARES, Skywarn, and CERT. Our meetings are held at the Outdoor Adventure building, located on Nellis AFB, on the 2nd Thursday of each month a 7:00 PM. The club also sponsors a weekly net on the

    Nouveau site de la Glutte
    Il était temps de passer à une nouvelle mouture du site internet de la Glutte. Pour ce faire j'ai choisi Joomla comme CMS (content management system) car c'est simple, dynamique et pratique à mettre à jour. J'avais le choix entre construire ce nouveau site en parallèle de l'ancien ou de détruire l'ancien et mettre en route cette nouvelle version. Le second choix m'a paru plus pratique et plus motivant. Soyer donc patient, le contenu sera ajouté selon mon temps libre, il est bien clair que je vais essayer de remettre les webcam au plus vite !
