We have been fortunate enough to live up on the mountain and have not been injured by the tsunamis. Others have not been so lucky. Many people that we knew personally have died, killed by the sea. Much of the south side of the islands have been hit the worst. We heard that Coconuts beach club, Maninoa, Salani surf camp were all wiped. Some of the villages lost everything- their houses, their plantations, everything. We are going to help to the best of our limited abilities. We can use your help. INTRODUCTION
Background: Settled as early as 1000 B. C., Samoa was "discovered" by European explorers in the 18th century. International rivalries in the latter half of the 19th century were settled by an 1899 treaty in which Germany and the US divided the Samoan archipelago. The US formally occupied its portion - a smaller group of eastern islands with the excellent harbor of Pago Pago - the following year. TOP OF PAGE

If you look at the geography of Samoa we will see that the place is ideally positioned in the South Pacific Ocean and is located in the southern portion of Hawaii. According to the geography of Samoa one can see that Samoa comprises a number of important islands like Upolu and Savaii. Major portions of Samoa are full of mountains that have originated because of volcanic eruptions.
Samoan geography is full of plain lands except in the regions in the coast as all these places are fit for cultivation. It is known that most of the land in Samoa is extremely fertile. If we look into the map of Samoa we will see that Samoa is spread over a large area and two of the most important islands in Samoa are known as Savaii and Upolu. If we look into the geographical facts about Samoa we will see that 99% of the land is covered with a number of islets and among the eight islets we can see the Apolima Strait, Alepieta islands which are located in Upolu. Geography of Samoa is quite diverse and one can see Nuulopa, Manono Island and the Apolima.
It is known that the most of the islands in the area are formed with lava deposits and the most of the mountains in this region are volcanic mountains. If we look at the
