Applying for a Postgraduate Research Scholarship for International Students
Each year the University of Adelaide has a Major International Scholarship Round of applications. This is the most effective way to maximise the chances of obtaining an international research scholarship as international students will be considered for every available scholarship for which they are eligible. Up to 35 scholarships are usually offered as part of this round each year. Applicants should hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree. This is a four year degree with a major research project in the final year. Other criteria that will be taken into consideration is undergraduate performance, bachelor and honours awards and scholarships, other postgraduate degrees, publications in internationally refereed journals, the presentation of conference papers and relevant industry experience. Generally scholarship recipients have completed a Masters degree including a significant research component and have several publications and relevant work and research experience. Incomplete applications at the scholarship application deadline will not be considered for a scholarship.

    Applying For A Government Grant
By Tim Lee A quick search of the online grant searches will quickly demonstrate to you how much grant money is truly available to the American public. You can find grants for virtually every type of business, field of study, or artistic endeavor. Whether you are a struggling playwright or the sole proprietor of a new small business, you can greatly help your cause by applying for a government grant. In many cases, you will be able to find organizations on a local level that cater specifically to people in your situation. This can greatly limit the competition you face for grant money, and it can often give you the opportunity to connect with a group that will work closely in developing your project. Applying for a government grant is much easier than most people think. There are certain steps that must be followed, but most agencies spell them out clearly for you before you ever start filling out the paperwork. In many case, you will have to register with the CCR (central contractor registry).
