Scientology
is the major cult amongst the community today, and the archenemy of the internet AND A HIGHLY RESPECTABLE, LEGITIMATE RELIGION. It is based on the belief that money is evil, and that it is the duty of scientists to gather it all into one safely contained area to prevent all the suffering and pain in the universe. This is the main reason it is so popular with certain celebrities, who having grown up with no discerning talent are lost as to what to do with their masses of cash when it's thrown at them. IT IS A REAL RELIGION. The organization helps people achieve the goal of shedding their money AND PUTTING IT TO GOOD USE, and subsequent negative karma, by leading them through a series of stages, or "levels" (often abbreviated lvl or OT). On achieving lvl20 (OT20), a Scientologist sheds his body thetans and gains Super Strength, Invulnerability, Invisibility, the ability to Fly, Yay! Immortality and heat rays that come out of his ass. There is an apparent lvl21 but no one has reached it because no one has found the Magestaff with +6 'give money to go on the big ship' skill. Scientologists always greet each other by farting in each others faces it is believed that this allows their minds to absorb the thetans in flatulence allowing their minds to develop telekinetic powers.

Do you ever get fed up with the scandal, death and destruction that dominates the news? Do you wish you could DO something about it? Something that would really HELP? When Scientologist Lorraine Baritz of Boston was called to the hospital by friends whose 13-year-old son was in a coma and on life-support four days after a severe motorcycle accident, she knew exactly what she had to do to help. But Lorraine, a Scientology Volunteer Minister News of the recovery traveled through the hospital, reaching others standing vigil by their own children. A couple with an infant son in a coma asked for help. Again Lorraine answered the call. The outcome was reported in the local Boston newspaper: Scientology volunteer minister Lorraine Baritz used her spiritual training to revive a 13-year-old motorcycle accident victim from a coma in a Boston hospital recently, it was considered a miracle. Stories like these are commonplace, anything but common in a world where people are searching for answers on how to provide real and lasting help to others.

Scientology is that applied and workable philosophy developed by L. Ron Hubbard during most of his life. Scientology includes the understanding of life, its composition and potentialities. Scientology is a new religious movement based on the writings of L. Ron Hubbard (1911 – 1986), a science fiction author, who founded the Church of Scientology in 1953. As with many new religious movements, Scientology has attracted much controversy and criticism, and it has been described as a "cult" by its critics. Ironically, the critical media attention that Scientology has received has helped to fuel the publicity of the movement. The organization presents itself as a fully integrated system of religious technology dedicated to the rehabilitation of the human spirit. Its teachings have allegedly saved followers from various afflictions including addictions, arthritis, clinical depression, learning disabilities, and mental illnesses. Popular among Hollywood celebrities, the Church of Scientology claims between one million and eight million adherents in 175 countries worldwide, the former number is an outsider estimate and the latter one put forward by the church

Many Internet legal analysts are disappointed by an out-of-court settlement between Netcom and the Church of Scientology If the case had resumed, the judge could have held Netcom responsible for failing to remove the documents once they were informed of the suit. Helena Kobrin, an attorney for the church, said the company is pleased with the settlement but refused to comment further. So legal observers are in the dark about whether a court would have decided that Netcom should have removed the material when the church first complained. "This is definitely a plus for Netcom depending on how much they settled on, but this decision means that the issue will continue to be unresolved until we have a case that goes all the way through," said Patricia Gima, an intellectual property attorney who specializes in online law. "But you better believe there will be an appeal when it happens so it will be a while before anything is set in stone." Lee Gesmer, a partner with
