BUENOS AIRES SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCERS

94. Scotia Dancers Of New York
Affiliate group of the RSCDS in New York, NJ. Features calendar of events and information about class times and fees.
http://www.scotia-dance.org/scotia/
Home Calendar About Us The Scotia Dancers of New York offer regular classes and parties in traditional Scottish country dancing (SCD), a dance form that combines exercise , sociability and stirring Scottish music. It is a form of pattern dancing performed in sets similar to contra or square dancing. You do not need previous dancing experience or a partner to enjoy yourself. Look for our meetup page to see what other people are saying about us. Classes are held Monday evenings at the Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 30 East 31st Street, New York, NY. Once you learn the basics of SCD, you can travel throughout the world and find groups on every continent (yes, that includes Antarctica) where you can dance. For instance, in October, many of our NY dancers will attend a dance weekend in Hamilton, Ontario. On Sunday, 19 September, many of our dancers will head on over to New Jersey to participate in the Boat Basin dance
We started our season with a very successful Welcome Back Party on 13 September: Program and Briefs . Fololowed by an evening geared towards new dancers on 20 September.

95. Skagit Scottish Country Dancers » About Us
(Anacortes, Washington) The group sponsors classes and workshops, dances, and other public events in the greater Skagit Valley area. Affiliated with the RSCDS.

About Us
The Skagit Scottish Country Dancers aims to be a family-friendly dance environment. Youth who are able to have sustained attention spans to listen and learn dances and can stand still for periods of time are welcome at our all-ages class. Generally, we find children who are at least 9 years of age have the most successful experience, although there are always exceptions. Don’t hesitate to come and give it a try. Snow/freezing rain weather policy:
If the streets are snow packed or if the streets are freezing in Anacortes by 4 pm or are expected to freeze before 9 pm, class will automatically be cancelled. Scottish Country Dancers
