    Sexual Disorders
Several studies have found that one half or more couples have had or will eventually have sexual problems at some time of their relationship. Sexual problems are experienced because of individual differences - people are different in what they want and how often they want it! We in Pakistan have lack of complete and correct information regarding growing up, such as nocturnal emission wet dreams masturbation , sexual intercourse and menstruation which can lead to sexual dysfunctions.

Traditionally females get information regarding hygiene but never about their sexuality. Their information needs on sexuality are never met. This makes them believe that sex is for reproduction and not for pleasure. The Media is also creating confusion by projecting fantasies, reinforce stereotypes and therefore indirectly unsafe sexual behaviors.

    Sexual Problems in Men
Sexual problem, or sexual dysfunction, refers to a problem during any phase of the sexual response cycle that prevents the individual or couple from experiencing satisfaction from the sexual activity. The sexual response cycle has four phases: excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution. While research suggests that sexual dysfunction is common (43% of women and 31% of men report some degree of difficulty), it is a topic that many people are hesitant to discuss. Fortunately, most cases of sexual dysfunction are treatable, so it is important to share your concerns with your partner and doctor. Sexual dysfunction can be a result of a physical or psychological problem.

Sexual impotence, also defined as erectile dysfunction, is a very common problem which affects most men at least once during their lifetime. The incidence of erectile dysfunction varies with age, and increases in the proportion of affected men, from 7 to 8 %, from 20 to 39 years of age; to 55-60 %, in men older than 70 years; according to a study carried out in the USA. The largest increase is seen in men in the range of 60-69 years. Is is estimated that at least 10 million men suffer from chronic impotence in the USA, and that at least 20 million more men have less severe forms of erectile dysfunction associated to age, chronic health problems or psychological problems. Although in the past sexual impotence was regarded as having almost exclusively psychic causes, we now know that from 85 to 90 % of all cases of erectile dysfunction have organic causes, such as peripheral vascular diseases, diabetes, imbalances in the sexual hormones, the effect of medications, etc. This has encouraged medical science to discover new forms of treatment, which are available and work well for a large number of patients. These treatments range from oral tablets and vasoactive drugs which can be injected into the penis, to vacuum pumps and implantable penis prostheses. Efectiveness of therapies may range from 40 to 90 %, depending on the proper choice of method.

There are however, various psychological and physiological problems that make sexual fulfillment difficult for a number of individuals who develop unusual sexual interests that are difficult to satisfy in a socially acceptable manner. These are known as sexual disorders and comprise of paraphilias, sexual dysfunctions and problems related to sexual abuse and gender identity.
Types of sexual disorders:
Paraphilias or the first category of sexual disorders The second category of sexual disorders functions around sexual abuse that is a pattern of forced or pressured sexual contact. ABSTRACT
The current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) describes certain sexual disorders which are characterized by, or include among their features, excessive and/or unusual sexual urges or behaviors. Common disorders in the differential diagnosis include paraphilias, impulse disorder not otherwise specified (NOS), sexual disorder NOS, bipolar affective disorder, cyclothymic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and adjustment disorder. Infrequent disorders in the differential diagnosis consist of substance-induced anxiety disorder, substance-induced mood disorder, dissociative disorder, delusional disorder (erotomania), obsessive-compulsive disorder, gender identity disorder, and delirium, dementia, or other cognitive disorder. Addictive sexual disorders which do not fit into standard DSM-IV categories can best be diagnosed using an adaptation of the DSM-IV criteria for substance dependence. The need for a classification of mental disorders has been clear throughout the history of medicine, but there has been little agreement on which disorders should be included and the optimal method for the organization. The many nomenclatures that have been developed during the past two millennia have differed in their relative emphasis on phenomenology, etiology, and course as defining features (DSM-IV, Introduction, p. xvi). The third edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III, 1980) represented a major advance in the diagnosis of mental disorders and greatly facilitated empirical research.

    Strange sexual disorders
Both women and men are likely to suffer from different types of strange sexual disorders at one point in their lives. Any type of sexual dysfunction or abnormality that causes difficulties in any stage of sexual activity in couples is considered a sexual disorder. The most common sexual disorders are the sexual addiction, erectile dysfunction, dyspareunia, premature ejaculation, vaginal dryness, vaginal pain, vaginismus or vulvodynia. The risk factors are different on each type of disorder and they can be physical or emotional. It is brought into our attention that people suffering from different forms of anxiety or depression are more likely to develop a sexual disorder caused by emotional factors. Strange sexual disorders are common medical conditions that occur in most sexually active women and men at least once in their lives. Heart Syndrome.com

Sexual Disorders
Sex plays an important role in shaping human lives. It is now that the sex impulse is present in various forms from the earliest months until the end of life. Being a basic instinct like hunger, its satisfaction is essential for sustained harmony and well-being.
The sexual act not only quietens the excitement which is a natural occurrence during maturity, but also refreshes the body and mind. It also contributes to mental development. In fact, it exercises a powerful influence upon every organ and cell and every physical and chemical process, including the nervous system.
Sexual activity, however, demands complete concentration and relaxation. It cannot be performed in haste and tension. The modern men who are usually tense and highly occupied are unable to follow these norms. The consumption of alcohol also leads to inadequate sexual functioning. Many persons, therefore, suffer from sexual disorders.
Impotence
Impotence is the most common of all the sexual disorders in the male. It can be defined as failure to obtain an erection or maintain it for a reasonable length of time without attaining organism. The main causes of impotence are fatigue, devitalised condition of the system in general, abuse or misuse of the sexual organism over a long period, glandular deficiencies, infectious diseases including veneral disease and psychological factors.
