83. Shark Tale
Review of the movie.
http://www.haro-online.com/movies/shark_tale.html
View other movie reviews Find a movie: Shark Tale In the Dreamworks animated canon, Shark Tale is more Sinbad than Shrek 2 . It has all of the elements necessary for a good animated film, but is missing a good story. Worse, Shark Tale has the profound misfortune of arriving after Disney's Finding Nemo . These are different films, but similar enough to draw comparisons, and Shark Tale falls far short of Finding Nemo in nearly every aspect. So while Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Jack Black, and Renee Zellweger can have their CGI counterparts yuck it up on screen, most of the people off screen will watch in a bored manner. Shark Tale centers around two mismatched friends. Oscar (Smith, I, Robot Bad Boys II ) is the low fish on the totem pole. He works in the car wash, owes money to everybody, and his co-worker Angie (Zellweger, Cold Mountain Down with Love ) has a crush on him, but he is too wrapped up in himself to notice. Lenny (Black, Anchorman Envy ) is a great white shark, but unlike the rest of them, he's a really nice guy. He's a vegetarian, has an effeminate voice, and doesn't like doing any of the normal shark things, much to the dismay of his father Don Lino (De Niro, Godsend Analyze That Rob Letterman, Damien Shannon and Mark Swift (

Shark Tale
Sponsored Links Author By Chris Bowyer Rating... Poster Who knew there were any fish jokes left? Right on the fins of 2003's Finding Nemo comes Dreamworks' own entry into the CGI-generated underwater children's comedy genre, Shark Tale . Like every other computer generated feature, it sports an all-star "cast" that would rival the box office power of any ensemble in history if the actors were actually, well, acting in it.
The story centers around a smooth-talking fish named Oscar (Will Smith) who is perpetually in trouble for something. While in a particularly dire situation, Oscar lucks out, and a series of events leave Oscar sitting next to a dead shark, appearing as if he'd killed it.
That Oscar becomes instantly famous and that his fame goes to his head is almost as predictable as the eventual exposure of his lie. The moral to this particular story is already well-tread and really only exists as an excuse to string dozens of pop culture references together. The result is a film which is funny, but dated. Decades from now, people will still be watching and enjoying

A site about Shark " " and Shark sailboats in general.
The Shark is a 24 foot (7.34 m) sailboat which was first built in 1960 in Canada, where it was in continuous production until the early 1990s. It has become the largest and most successful Canadian one-design keelboat class. There are active Shark fleets in Canada, USA, and Europe, and this boat was recently recognized by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) under the Classic Yacht Classes. Although the Shark 24 may not have all the characteristics of the latest go-fast designs, it allows sailors to get involved in serious one-design competition up to the World level for a fraction of the cost of other keelboat designs. Those Predatory Sharks...
Predatory animals inspire a sense of awe, respect and fear among humans. On land, big cats, wolves, and bears are some of the quintessential predators. Dip beneath the waves, however, and sharks take the stage, alongside orcas, sperm whales, and large squids and fishes. Although there are many marine predators, it is the sharks that have been most stereotyped as the "killers from the deep". There's no denying the fact that sharks are carnivorous and predatory. Generally, however, sharks have a more diverse diet than usually credited by the general public. The giant filter-feeding basking shark (

SHARK TALE

As you read these lines, sharks will die - either because of their fins, as bycatch of swimming fish factories, for ineffective medicinal cartilage powder or through the destruction of their natural habitats.

Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus)
There are three species of blacktip shark in Australian waters, all looking almost identical to the untrained eye. The Blacktip Reef Shark is a common species usually found in shallow inshore reefs and lagoons; the other two species are more oceanic in their range.
As its name suggests the Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) has black tips on all of its fins, with larger areas of black on the lower tail lobe and the first dorsal fin. The body colour can vary from grey to yellowish brown with a pearly blaze on the flanks.
Two to four young are born each November. They start life as perfectly formed 50 cm miniatures of their parents and grow to 18 m. Diet consists of reef fish, crabs, shells, squid or anything else that appeals to their palate. In northern Australia 25 per cent of stomach contents were found to be snakes.
