Taiwan Government
Taiwan Government is responsible for the political phenomena that are taking place inside the territory of Taiwan. The whole political scenario of Taiwan is based on the government bodies of Taiwan. The national government of Taiwan is based on the constitution that was drawn up to administer the whole region of China. In 1949, when the Nationalist government moved to Taiwan, most of the people across the world still recognized it as the government of all China.
Taiwan Government comprises of five branches (Yuan). With the executive Yuan, the greatest political power rests, while the legislative branch is responsible for the legislative matters of Taiwan. The 225 members from this branch are elected directly from multi member districts whereas the rest are elected on a proportional basis. On the other hand, the Judicial Yuan is been appointed by the president and acts as the highest judicial authority.
Beside this the Control Yuan takes care of censorship and other political issues including censure and legal documentation while the examination Yuan is in charge of examinations for government positions.

Taiwan commonly refers to the Republic of China as the island composes about 99% of the Republic of China's territory. The island has had a long history with many settlers and conquerors. Human settlement of Taiwan dates back 30,000 years, though they are not genetic ancestors to any current inhabitants.
