This process will include researching various school calendars including a balanced, traditional, and year-round calendar to increase differentiated instructional opportunities for students and to increase professional development and planning time for staff. In addition, BTCS parents, staff, and students are invited to participate in a school calendar survey in order to gather information.
A traditional calendar will be developed for the 2011-2012 school year. However, various school calendars are being considered for the 2012-2013 school year including balanced and traditional calendars. BTCS values your ideas about the school year calendar. Please take a few minutes to share your opinions via the 2010 BTCS Online Calendar Survey. The survey will end on Friday, November 26.
