    People
The people of Tibet are strong, and adaptable due to the harsh environment in which they live, but they are also extremely warm and hospitable. They are always quick to invite a visitor to Tibet into their home and serve them homemade food, and the famous Tibetan butter tea.

Tibetan girls Food Food, just like Tibetan culture and people has a very distinct character. Tibetan food is not only sustenance, but also helps Tibetan people survive the harsh climates. Their food keeps them warm, gives them energy, helps them with the high altitude, and gives them nutrient essentials to the harsh climate. Due to the high altitude of Tibet, water boils at 90 degrees making cooking with water impossible, so Tibetan food has become very specialized. The Tibetan diet consists mostly of meat, milks and other high protein foods. Tsampa: is a staple found at every Tibetan meal. It is a dough made with roasted barley flour and yak butter. There are two basic ways to prepare and eat Tsampa. One is to make dough with Tibetan buttered tea. The other is to make porridge with beef or mutton, and vegetables. The Tsampa dough served with buttered tea is salty, while the porridge is often served with sugar.

Tibet Culture and Traditions
Stupas are very important symbols of Buddhism containing Buddhism scriptures or relics. You should always walk around the stupa clockwise. Prayer wheels contain Buddhism scriptures which are recited when the wheel is turned. Prayer wheels come in different sizes and Tibetans often keep smaller prayer wheels at home as being believers of Lamaism, they must recite Buddhism frequently. They should be spun clockwise. When entering a monastery or temple building:
Tibetan people, especially the initiated Buddhists, consider all living things holy. At dinner, do not chew your food noisily. Drink soup as quietly as possible. Let guests or older people go first when you walk together with them. When you talk, use honorific expressions - add "la" behind the name to express respect. If you are asked to sit down, please cross your legs - do not stretch your legs forward. Accept gift with both hands. If presenting a gift bend your body forward and hold the gift higher than your head with both hands. While offering small items offer them with both hands. If a guest and presented with wine dip your ring finger in the wine and flick the wine in the air three times to express your respects to the heaven, the earth and the ancestors before sipping the wine.

Should there be a homeland for all beliefs in the mind, Tibet is such a place. The open country without any worldly noise, the clear and high sky like having been washed, the yonder snow-covered mountains and peaks lofty and awesome, mirrored still like lowered humble heads in the boundless and unfathomable lake at their feet... as you are and let yourself deserted in all these, you definitely feel a sublimed mind. Tibet couldn't be more ideal a place to self. Tibet is a land as abstruse as that millions of pilgrims all embrace it as the world center of holiness. But it's natural enough for Tibet , for that the Himalayas has been the venue of rich legends and myths since a time, for that the river Brahmaputra is running the same way as it surged before mankind, and Ngari, the region known as the Roof of the World, that strikes associations with the heaven. Tibet enlightens you, and insight is interpreted everywhere. The all-year-round ice and snow that cover and seal this land and the subtle blinking waves of lakes betray it. It's echoed through murmuring prayers floating in the air between temples invisible among mountains and lakes. In front of the majestic Guge Dynasty relics, you feel the time backing. On the vast grassland, hearing the neighs of troops of free wild horses, you produce an admiration to the crude life in

Religion here has a strong Tibetan cultural flavor, while keeping the original basic doctrines of Buddhism. Tibetan Buddhism has a great influence in the daily life of the Tibetan people. From Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, to the pastoral villages spread throughout the grasslands, there are many temples with golden roofs shinning under the sun. Another important symbol of Tibetan Buddhism are the pilgrims who prostrate themselves every nine steps on their way from their hometowns to the holy city of Lhasa. Pilgrims can also be seen throughout Tibet visiting religious sites to erase their sins and accumulate virtue. The monasteries are also the places where monks study Buddhism and where religion, art and customs have coalesced into one whole in Tibet.
The development of Buddhism in Tibet
China is home to a multiplicity of religious beliefs, with the world's three major religions - Buddhism, Catholicism and Islamism - all having large congregations, organizations and activity venues in the country. Buddhism in China mainly includes Han Chinese language Buddhism, which spread into China in 2 B.C.; Tibetan language Buddhism, which spread into Tibet in the 7th century; and Pali language Buddhism, which spread into China in the 13th century. Tibetan Buddhism refers to Tibetan language Buddhism, and is also known as Lamaism.

Culture of Tibet - Natural Hues of Colorful Lives !
Tibet has the richness and the depth of its traditions that is deep rooted in its cultural heritage. The wisdom, the knowledge about life, compassion, tolerance and peace of mind, all contribute in making the culture of Tibet. The simplicity of life, the spirituality of minds and rich customs and traditions give a strong hold to this alpine region which is entirely bedecked with its holy charisma. Comes and experience this magical world of culture.
Which Are The Famous Dances of Tibet !
The most stunning part of Tibetan culture is its performing arts. Every Tibetan can sing and dance. Be it music, dance or drama, they all have been unimaginably impervious to western influence. They purely reflect the cultural heritage of trans-Himalayan region. Unlike other countries, the music and dance here is not mainly for entertainment, but most of the songs here are religious, reverberating the influence of Buddhism on Tibetan culture. Listen to the songs carefully, you will notice the singing style of Tibetan's is quite peculiar; the songs are sung from throat in a different way that makes the sound echo in the valleys and can be heard even from long distances. They consider this as another medium of spreading their beliefs and religion as far as possible.
But dances definitely have an entertainment edge as well to them. They are generally performed during various festivals or any personal celebrations. Dances like Guoxie, Duixie (Tibetan Tap dance) and Quamo dance make the prominent part of every cultural event in Tibet.

    Album Description:
Tibet has a unique cultural heritage that for years was relatively hidden to the Western world and preserved from outside influences, due to the remoteness and inaccessibility of the Himalayan region. Tibetan art, music, and literature are all strongly influenced by religion — both Mahayana and Tantric Buddhism and the shamanistic Bön religion of its indigenous people.
