Rutland Southwest Supervisory Union Educator Licensing In accordance with State of Vermont Education regulations, Level I teachers must apply for a level II license after three years of teaching in their area of endorsement. If a teacher has not been teaching within his/her endorsement area the teacher must take 3 credits to keep the license up to date.
A level II license requires signed mentoring forms and an IPDP ( Individualized Professional Development Plan).
To keep a level II license, nine credits must be taken over a period of seven years.
The Local Standards Board meets once a month at Central Office on the third Wednesday of the month.
Activity forms for completion of courses must be submitted yearly for approval. For information, contact Karen Kay of Tinmouth or Suzanne Montalvan of PHS.
