Welcome to West Virginia Roots A Little of a West Virginia Girls' Genealogy My name is Lori and I grew up in the Clarksburg area of West Virginia. I moved to Florida about 8 years ago but my whole family is still there. I have been hacking away at my genealogy for quite a few years now and I've found roots in several counties in West Virginia; the most being Doddridge County, but also Upshur County, Harrison County, Randolph County, and Ritchie Countiy. The surnames include Foster, Cottrill, Bennett, Hinzman, Leggett, Richards, Orrahood, Buckey...to name a few! It's a little more difficult to do research from a distance but thank goodness for the internet!
