The Brighton School Elementary Campus is a specialized elementary school for K- 6th grade children with dyslexia and other related learning differences. We feature a low student-teacher ratios and small classroom sizes. Class placement is determined by progress and proficiency and also by the psycho-educational evaluation for the individual student. Daily Schedule: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Medications: Written documentation from a physician is required. Medication is locked and distributed from the front office.

Bridges to Success Summer Program
Bridges to Success is a four week summer enrichment program for children in grades K – 6th. The program covers phonics and math with heavy emphasis on multisensory activities. A psych-educational evaluation is also needed for admission into the summer program. Spaces are limited and are awarded on a first come first serve basis. Please note that this program is not for children who failed a grade and must take a summer school course.

E-mail gorhamc@nacc.edu The Division of Social Sciences, Speech, and Foreign Languages offers a wide variety of courses in a number of subject areas. Staffed by five full-time instructors and over two dozen adjunct instructors, the division's semester schedule includes courses in three of the five areas of the curriculum. In Area II of the core curriculum, the division offers two years of a foreign language (Spanish), two religion classes (Survey of Old Testament and Survey of New Testament), one philosophy class (Ethics and Society), and one speech class (Fundamentals of Public Speaking). Area IV classes offered by the division include Western Civilization I and II, U. S. History I and II, American National Government, World Geography, General Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Introductory Sociology, and Social Problems. Among the Area V or pre-professional or major courses offered by the division are four Criminal Justice courses, State and Local Government, World Religions, Marriage and Family, two Interdisciplinary Studies classes, a Career Exploration class, and a Study Skills class. The division's five full-time instructors serve as advisors to students in a variety of majors. Additionally, three of the division's five full-time instructors serve as advisors to students who have not yet declared a specific major.
