    http://www.rubright.com/percussion/npe.html
The Nuclear Percussion Ensemble was founded in 1986 by Henry Claude as a way to make use of all the percussion instruments that he had accumulated over the years. Their show has been described as a "giant, progressive mechanical toy that always finds new treats and surprising inventions every time you wind it up." (St. Louis Riverfront Times)
The photo above is really old, too. Only Henry is still in the band, but there are a bunch of other guys in with him. Someday they might have their own web site. If they get one, I'll link to it.

      Rachael K. LeValley
One Giant Leap One Giant Leap is a world music documentary. Although, it is not an exceptional "documentary" (perhaps because it is revolutionary), the film's focus is on something linguistically indescribable the musical connection.
The feature length documentary introduces music as an infinite and powerful glue which connects us. As musicians purge emotions from their core linking note to note, sound to sound people in this human culture are united. Heads bob, hands clap, shoulders rotate. Bodies and souls are beckoned to move, and they do so together, thriving on the musical pulse and blossoming ?- they smile like a morning rose opening to the sunshine.
1GL is the creation of Jamie Catto (a musician, film director, editor and photographer) and Duncan Bridgeman (an artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist). For over six-months, the two traveled to over twenty-five countries amassing music, words and images from sources of inspiration inspiration for those involved in making the music and making the film an inspiration for the viewers.

    Milen Slavov
    producer-composer-performer
Milen grew up in the folk traditions of Bulgaria. In 1997 he came to America with the dream of sharing his inspiration and talents, and with the hope to finding a new life and opportunities for himself and his family. Since then Milen has performed, composed, produced, and taught throughout the United States and Canada. In 2000 the US government awarded Milen permanent residency as an artist of extraordinary ability.
With constant self-criticism and following his passions and desire to analyze and understand philosophy of life, Slavov creates his own musical style to reflect human nature. He creates and performs music with a universal scope – musical expressions surpassing borders and nationality, all to promote the view that no matter where in the world, people have more similarities than differences. The fusion of exotic vocals, instruments and styles, the unique musical expression (often created on-the-spot) of moods and emotions, are typical for Slavov’s work. NEW: Bulgarian gaida music downloads - ornaments, guides, music tracks and scores.

    100. Angelina Kievskaya Singer Of World Music, Folk-pop With Certain Gothic Influence
Ukraine-Belgian singer of world music. Contains biography, music, news, and a photo gallery.
    http://www.angelinakievskaya.com/
Op deze pagina worden frames gebruikt, maar uw browser ondersteunt geen frames. The 21 year old Angelina Kievskaya was born in Ukraine but has been living in Belgium for 5 years. Music is the key factor that reigns her whole life and during one of her karaoke performances she was discovered by Peter-Jan Van Der Gucht ( former manager of amongst others Bart Herman..) He decided to create a project support team for the artist with one mission: to shape a successful new singer star. For two years these people were working in silence and Werner Cleerbout ( former singer songwriter of Big Deal ) became the project manager in charge of the musical development of Angelina. She took close harmony lessons, dance sessions and other star academy courses with only one aim: to become and to stay part of those real live artists who are able to survive in the jungle of music land.. and with a view on the international audience. Finding the good vibes, lyrics and music was the next step. Very quickly, it became clear that Angelina was not intended to be a pure pop singer. Her very special voice timbre, made her predestined to a new kind of world music based upon a mixture of oriental melancholy and well arranged folk-pop with certain gothic influences.
