    • Study raises concern about ability of tests to predict fertility
The study found that the cutoffs used by such infertility tests, which measure levels of a molecule called follicle stimulating hormone or FSH, label many women as infertile who actually go on to have children naturally. It also suggests that another hormone, called antimullerian hormone or AMH, could prove to be a much better harbinger of infertility. Welcome from the President
Dear Academicians and guests, Welcome to the new website of the International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine. This new site is the product of well over a year of ideas, deliberations, discussions and most of all, hard work. For the guests who are not familiar with the Academy and our work, the Academy is a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of Aerospace Medicine. Its members hail from all four corners of the globe, united by their work in the field. Candidate academicians are sponsored by Academicians of good standing and are elected to membership after a rigorous process of vetting, based on their achievements in the field. The organization prides itself on being totally apolitical and driven solely by professional considerations. Our vision, as the pre-eminent association in the field, is to advance the science and art of aviation medicine through collaboration on teaching and research. Our primary tools to achieve these goals are the International Congress of Aviation and Space Medicine (ICASM - held yearly at alternating sites across the globe), our participation in the annual Scientific Meeting of the Aerospace Medical Association (held annually in North America), the committees which meet at the Congresses and continue their work through email and other means throughout the year and now also the website.

Evolving throughout its history, ayurveda remains an influential system of medicine in South Asia The earliest literature on Indian medical practice appeared during the Vedic period in India. The Suśruta Saṃhitā and the Charaka Saṃhitā were influential works on traditional medicine during this era. Over the following centuries, Ayurvedic practitioners developed a number of medicinal preparations and surgical procedures for the treatment of various ailments and diseases. In Western medicine , Ayurveda is classified as a system of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) that is used to complement, rather than replace, the treatment regimen and relationship that exists between a patient and their existing physician.
