Sir James Bryce (10 May 1838 - 22 Jan 1922)
Irish-English jurist and historian (1st Viscount Bryce) whose noted historical classics are The Holy Roman Empire (1864) and American Commonwealth (1888). Later he served as Ambassador to the United States (1907-13).
