SUMMARY The Domain Name System (DNS), which matches computer addresses to human-friendly domain names, has given rise to many legal issues. Two important issues are the institutional arrangements for governing the DNS and the use of trade marks as domain names. This book is the first complete statement of this rapidly-evolving area of the law. In particular, the book includes a comprehensive statement of decisions under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), the international system for resolving disputes between trade mark owners and domain name registrants. In this path-breaking work, the author examines the extent to which principles of national trade mark law have been used in UDRP decisions.

Mon, 2009-06-08 08:58. Saturday I headed out to Idaho Falls to photograph my first out of state wedding! Yes it was only a few hours away, but out of state none the less :) Sooo congrats to Lindsay and David who were married on June 6th at the Shilo Inn (on mine and Ian's anniversary)!! I photographed Lindsay and David's engagements and also designed their wedding invite. That's all they had originally planned for me to do until they got their photos back. After Lindsay saw the engagement photos she got a hold of me and wanted me to photograph their wedding as well. I was thrilled! Lindsay has a gorgeous little girl named Lei Lani and I just love the mommy daughter moments I captured of the two of them before the ceremony. The ceremony was very pretty and the couple was lucky enough to have Lindsay's father marry them :) The wedding was originally planned to be outside, but rain storms changed these plans. Luckily, the rain died down and we were able to take photos of the wedding party out by the water. The scenery and colors were bold and vibrant, which really helped the photos look even more beautiful.

SA People who research their own ancestors must always be ready to accept what they find. Popular writer David Lindsay discovered that the hard way when he set out to research the life of his Pilgrim ancestor, one Richard More of Plymouth. More, it seemed, had arrived on board the Mayflower, a circumstance that had given pride to his descendents. Lindsay soon learned a great deal more than that. Richard More had been dumped on the emigrant ship at the tender age of five, an orphan child of extremely dubious antecedents. Clearly a born survivor, the boy made it through the nascent colony's starving times, its bitter winters, and the bloody King Philip's War. Relying on his superb confidence, self-reliance and audacity, he went away to sea and spent most of his life as a merchant captain. The same qualities that brought More to a solid and moderately prosperous adulthood, however, also worked against his respectability. As another of his descendents in England recently put it: "Ahh, Richard More. Wasn't he the one who went to America and behaved dreadfully?" Indeed he was. A series of ill-advised romantic adventures and other colorful indiscretions eventually brought the scapegrace to a church trial and his solemn ejection from the congregation. Nevertheless, he lived to a ripe age, during which he saw one of his friends hanged as a witch in Salem.
