Algebra Applications
Algebra as a Science
Algebra is considered as one of the principal branches of mathematics which explains how to handle all situations involving numbers and variables. By default, there is so much to say about teaching and studying of Algebra as a generalized arithmetic which goes through systematic mathematical processes such as induction, generalization and proof. So, the students get to develop their mastery in algebra progressively, for example by getting the information from tutors or computer software packages, which provide stepwise illustrative solutions. Software Packages designed for algebra studying provide all the available methods for solving specific problems with a technological touch. Many students don't even know how very useful Algebra is! They complain about its impracticality ignoring that Algebra, generally mathematics, teaches their mind how to think logically and correctly. The typical way to learn Algebra is in school, from being a kid till becoming an adult students get their information from the instructor. With the mammoth growth of technology, new techniques have been developed to learn Algebra, such as using packages which is a more convenient way to learn Algebra. It's a kind of gradual tool to have the information delivered to student's brains.

Geometric Algebra and its Application to Mathematical Physics
Ph.D. thesis, University of Cambridge (1994). Abstract: Clifford algebras have been studied for many years and their algebraic properties are well known. In particular, all Clifford algebras have been classified as matrix algebras over one of the three division algebras. But Clifford Algebras are far more interesting than this classification suggests; they provide the algebraic basis for a unified language for physics and mathematics which offers many advantages over current techniques. This language is called geometric algebra - the name originally chosen by Clifford for his algebra - and this thesis is an investigation into the properties and applications of Clifford's geometric algebra. The work falls into three broad categories:
  • The formal development of geometric algebra has been patchy and a number of important subjects have not yet been treated within its framework. A principle feature of this thesis is the development of a number of new algebraic techniques which serve to broaden the field of applicability of geometric algebra. Of particular interest are an extension of the geometric algebra of spacetime (the spacetime algebra) to incorporate multiparticle quantum states, and the development of a multivector calculus for handling differentiation with respect to a linear function.

Posted: Sunday 26th of Sep 10:08 Holla guys and gals! Recently I hired a math tutor to help me with some topics in math. My problem areas included topics such as algebra applications figure skating and like denominators. Now that teacher turned out to be so dumb, that instead of helping me now I’m even more confused than I used to be. I still can’t solve problems on those topics. And the exam time is nearing. I need someone to help me out. Is there anything in particular that can be done to get some sort of help? I have a good set of questions to help me learn these topics, but the problem is I just can’t crack them, no matter how much I try. Please help! Back to top ameich

Computational Algebra Applications in Reliability Theory

IEEE Transactions on Reliability Year: Volume: Issue: Page range: Description
Reliability analysts are typically forced to choose between using an "algorithmic programming language" or a "reliability package" for analyzing their models and lifetime data. This paper shows that computational languages can be used to bridge the gap to combine the flexibility of a programming language with the ease of use of a package. Computational languages facilitate the development of new statistical techniques and are excellent teaching tools. This paper considers three diverse reliability problems that are handled easily with a computational algebra language: system reliability bounds, lifetime data analysis, and model selection.
