Abstract: In this paper, we introduce an interactive approach to generate physically-based shape interpolation between poses. We extend linear modal analysis to offer an efficient and robust numerical technique to generate physically-plausible dynamics even for very large deformation. Our method also provides a rich set of intuitive editing tools with real-time feedback, including control over vibration frequencies, amplitudes, and damping of the resulting interpolation sequence. We demonstrate the versatility of our approach through a series of complex dynamic shape interpolations. Trivial Connections on Discrete Surfaces

Journals
This page lists journals that publish research and expository papers in computational geometry and closely related fields. Journals marked either explicitly solicit computational geometry papers or are cited frequently in the Geometry Literature Database . Items marked have recently appeared or changed. If articles are available electronically, a list of available formats is given in parentheses. Unless indicated otherwise, electronic contents are available only to current subscribers or at subscribing institutions. Rob Kirby , a mathematics professor at Berkeley, recently published an open letter discussing the rising subscription prices of mathematics journals . Although he doesn't include them in his discussion, exactly the same issues apply to discrete mathematics and computer science journals. The annotations MathSciNet HBP Search ACM , and CSBib indicate bibliographies or search pages for the journal that are part of a larger bibliography collection. These annotations are explained on a separate web page . Most of these journals are also (at least partially) indexed in the Geometry Literature Database Upcoming special issues are listed on a separate web page

Description
A basic problem in computer vision is to understand the structure of a real world scene. This book covers relevant geometric principles and how to represent objects algebraically so they can be computed and applied. Recent major developments in the theory and practice of scene reconstruction are described in detail in a unified framework. Richard Hartley and Andrew Zisserman provide comprehensive background material and explain how to apply the methods and implement the algorithms. List of interactive geometry software
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   (Redirected from Dynamic geometry software Jump to: navigation search Interactive geometry software (IGS, or dynamic geometry environments, DGEs) are computer programs which allow one to create and then manipulate geometric constructions, primarily in plane geometry . In most IGS, one starts construction by putting a few points and using them to define new objects such as lines circles or other points. After some construction is done, one can move the points one started with and see how the construction changes.

The earliest IGS was the Geometric Supposer, which was developed in the early 1980s. This was soon when? followed by Cabri in 1986 and The Geometer's Sketchpad.
      edit Comparison
There are three main types of computer environments for studying school geometry: supposers, dynamic geometry environments (DGEs) and Logo -based programs. Most are DGEs: software that allows the user to manipulate ("drag") the geometric object into different shapes or positions. The main example of a supposer is the Geometric Supposer, which does not have draggable objects, but allows students to study pre-defined shapes. Nearly all of the following programs are DGEs. The European project Inter2Geo aims at interoperability between DGEs of the Interactive Geometry type. It began in Sept. 2007.

The CCCG Library
The goal of the CCCG Library project is to have proceedings from all years available on this central server. For recent years, this just means moving the electronic proceedings from one location to another. For pre-1997 conferences this means scanning the paper proceedings and putting them online. The CCCG Librarian has agreed to do the scanning, but we need help entering the bibliographic information. If you browse the starred proceedings below you will see that author and title information is missing from most of the papers. Home Submission Accepted Papers Program Fees and Registration ... Contact The Canadian Conference on Computational Geometry (CCCG) focuses on the mathematics of discrete geometry from a computational point of view. Abstracting and studying the geometry problems that underly important applications of computing (such as geographic information systems, computer-aided design, simulation, robotics, solid modeling, databases, and graphics) leads not only to new mathematical results, but also to improvements in these application areas. Despite its international following, CCCG maintains the informality of a smaller workshop and attracts a large number of students. 01-Jul-2003 cccg@cs.dal.ca
