Effects of estrogen replacement therapy on plasma levels of nitric oxide in postmenopausal women
Article Abstract: Estrogen replacement therapy may protect postmenopausal women from heart disease by increasing blood levels of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide relaxes blood vessels. Researchers measured blood levels of nitric oxide in 28 postmenopausal women who were randomly assigned to receive estrogen or a placebo via a skin patch for six months. Nitric oxide levels were similar in both groups at the beginning of the study, but increased in the women receiving estrogen over the next six months. When they stopped taking estrogen, their nitric oxide levels fell back to the levels seen at the beginning of the study.

FAR Infrared (FIR) Sauna Therapy and Nitric Oxide (NO)
Using a far infrared (FIR) sauna is a powerful way to detoxify and has many therapuetic benefits on the body. What many do not know about is the connection between FIR and nitic oxide. Nitric oxide (NO) helps preserve the elasticity of all the vessels in the body, because it is a "signaling molecule" that tells the blood vessels to increase in width or dilate. This has significant implications, because optimal blood circulation is a key factor in virtually all health issues.
(Be sure to mention Evenbetternow for $500 discount) Here is some research on the power of (from High Tech Health) and its ability to enhance the production of nitric oxide which addreses serious health challenges.
  • "...sauna therapy increases mRNA and protein levels of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS)...
Another study indicates that far infrared sauna therapy may promote insulin sensitivity while boosting the expression of eNOS.
Twice weekly sauna bathing for 3 months was assoicated with significant reductions in resting systolic and resting diastolic pressure averaging 20-23 mmHg and 14-18 mmHg respectively.
