The cathedral is the centerpiece of the convent, built in 1748-64. Now it houses an exhibition and a concert hall. 14.00 - 18.00 - Lobbying (Informal discussions on the resolutions) Lobbying will take place in Gymnasium 157 . The history of the gymnasium dates back to 1868. It bears the name of its patroness Princess of Oldenburg, Granddaughter of the Russian Emperor Nicolas I. The history of the gymnasium is closely connected with the heroic history of St. Petersburg. 39 teachers and 49 students were awarded with medals for heroism during 900-day siege of Leningrad (1941 – 1944).     Welcome to the 2011 Conference!
    Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisers, It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 58th session of Harvard Model United Nations.  HMUN 2011 will be held from Thursday, January 27 to Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Sheraton Boston.  After a hugely successful 2010 conference, I could not be more excited to embark on this year of preparation for another simulation of distinguished United Nations bodies, diverse international organizations, and dynamic non-state actors.  Our staff of dedicated Harvard students is already beginning conference preparations, and we look forward to welcoming you to Boston next January! We at HMUN are deeply committed to sharing the experience of learning about and practicing international relations.  HMUN 2011 will be accessible to as many students from all over the world as possible.  To this end, we will offer more financial aid to delegations in need than ever before.  We are working hard to increase the use of technology and multimedia in all of our committees in order to increase both the realism and excitement of our simulation.  Finally, we look forward to proudly showcasing our beautiful campus with activities and tours over the course of the weekend. Registration materials will be available here beginning in mid-April.  If you have any questions before then, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Whether this will be your first year at our conference or your school has loyally attended for many years, welcome to HMUN 2011!

Dear Prospective Delegates, Teacher Chaperones, and School, Welcome to the home of the Vancouver Model United Nations! It is my distinct privilege to invite you to attend the Vancouver Model United Nations (VMUN) 2011 conference. This year, VMUN will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency on January 28-30, 2011. VMUN, long acknowledged as one of the most prestigious Model United Nations conferences in the nation, is proud to offer the same top-quality debate and capable staff from previous sessions. This year, for our tenth annual session, we have committed to attracting a wider diversity of delegates, bringing you inspiring speakers knowledgeable about current issues, and improving the quality of our delegate social. All in all, the Secretariat promises to deliver a bigger and better conference than ever before! Over the next few months, please check back on this website for important updates and announcements. Teacher chaperones, we encourage you to inform your students of this educational opportunity and assist them as they prepare for the conference. This year, we are excited to be able to offer teacher chaperones with eight or more delegates a complimentary room for the duration of the conference and other promotional materials if desired. Delegates, please research your committee topics thoroughly before submitting position papers to the appropriate dias staff. I encourage you to utilize our website to assist you in your preparations. Please take the time to examine the relevant Background Guide of your committee and familiarize yourself with the official Rules of Procedure provided in the Documents section of this website. A large part of your conference experience will depend on your preparations beforehand.

The Geneva International Model United Nations (GIMUN) is a fully student run Non Governmental Organisation in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Our goal is to promote the ideals and principles of the United Nations among the youth - students in particular. We seek to provide young adults with a multilateral platform to discuss various global issues that are handled by the UN.     The European International Model United Nations (TEIMUN Foundation) is a student organisation which aims to educate students about the United Nations. The foundation organises several conferences and participates in several other conferences and workshops to meet this goal. The highlight every year is the annual TEIMUN conference, which takes place every July. It is a seven day conference and will this year be held from the 11th till the 17th of July 2011 in The Hague. During this conference around 240 students from all over the world have the opportunity to experience the workings and decision-making process of the United Nations and NATO through role-playing in one of the simulated organs. It helps participants to gain a multilateral view of world affairs and to develop their public speaking and debating skills. From March 10-13, 2011, the Cornell campus will be alive with high school students from across the country and around the world, delving deep into pressing world matters. I invite you to explore the information presented on this website and acquaint yourselves with CMUNC. Once you've decided to make what I woul say is the excellent decision to dedicate your Model UN organization's weekend to CMUNC, advisors should please fill out the online registration form. A member from our conference staff will confirm this registration via email, as well as provide your school with additional attendance and payment information. I believe that CMUNC 2011 will set a high bar for defining a quality Model UN experience.
