Virtual Frog Dissection Kit
This award-winning interactive program is part of the "Whole Frog" project . You can interactively dissect a (digitized) frog named Fluffy, and play the Virtual Frog Builder Game. The interactive Web pages are available in a number of languages Click on the frog to dive into the kit. Help and additional information available include a tutorial , an overview of how the system works, a paper that was presented at WWW '94, and a paper that was published in COMPCON '95. For some other interesting frog and biology-related pages, see Also of Interest Frog statistics , including how many times it has been accessed in different languages. We welcome your suggestions and comments . Comments from teachers and students are especially welcome. Please note, however, that we are computer scientists, not biologists. We will not be able to help you with your homework (see biology-related information for help). Also, we don't know of any animals other than the frog that have a computer-graphics based virtual dissection page. We get frequent requests for this information. If someone has done such a page for a fetal pig, cat, etc., we'd be interested in hearing about it. The Center for Science and Engineering Education contains links to other educational Web sites at Berkeley Lab.

The Amphibian Research Centre
About the Amphibian Research Centre
The ARC was established as a centre dedicated to research and conservation of Australia's unique frogs. The ARC is self funding and provides for its valuable work through sales and sponsorships. We supply pet frogs and tadpoles bred at the ARC, as well as enclosures, food, information, materials, and resources that are needed by those wanting to keep pet frogs. We also stock frog books, tapes, posters, and other frog-related items. Our school visits and the supply of tadpoles for classrooms assist our work at the same time as educating and encouraging responsible attitudes towards wildlife. The Centre is also involved in efforts to breed and preserve a number of Australia's most endangered frogs, and is a base for the operations of the Victorian Frog Group
Education
With the move to the vastly bigger and better Amphibian Research Centre in Werribee, a "school visit" can now mean a visit by your school to the ARC rather than the other way around. Have a look at the

The following listing has been compiled with the help of reptile and amphibian owners who have had experiences with the veterinarians listed here on HVC and have personally recommended them; there may be cases of negative experiences (in which vets have the opportunity to respond to these posts). It is hoped that submittors are doing so in good faith; these postings are based on personal experiences and HVC does not verify the comments to be accurate. It is highly suggested that you interview the vets yourself and make your own decisions as to whether to use any of the listed veterinarians. HVC was designed with the intent to make the process of searching for an experienced herp veterinarian easier. The decision to visit any of these listed veterinarians is entirely up to you.
