ETHICS IN RESEARCH
Ethics in research are very important when you're going to conduct an experiment. by Experiment-Resources.com Ethics should be applied on all stages of research, such as planning, conducting and evaluating a research project. The first thing to do before designing a study is to consider the potential cost and benefits of the research.
RESEARCH - COST AND BENEFITS-ANALYSIS
We evaluate the cost and benefits for most decisions in life, whether we are aware of it or not. This can be quite a dilemma in some experiments. Stem cell research is one example of an area with difficult ethical considerations. As a result, stem cell research is restricted in many countries, because of the major and problematic ethical issues.

    Ethics in research
The University of Cambridge has a long-standing commitment to the highest standards of ethics in research. Over time, discipline-specific policies and processes have developed to ensure that research at Cambridge not only meets the requirements of legislation and research sponsors, but also satisfies the standards of disciplinary best practice adopted by peers. The University’s guidelines on Ethics in Research is available here The range of research at Cambridge is very wide. Some projects involve no ethical issues, whereas others involve significant ethical questions. The following information is designed to help researchers at the University to decide:
    • when a proposal raises ethical issues the degree of ethical risk involved, and hence the corresponding degree of review required where best to seek review
When to seek ethical review If your project involves any of the following, the project may require ethical review:

New Brunswick Ratite Association
Currently, the New Brunswick Ratite Association is compiling a list of all ratite breeders and enthusiasts in the province, in the hope of establishing an informal network, which will encompass all ratite producers (ostrich, emu, rhea, etc.). We believe in the growing commercial aspect of the ratite industry and we feel that the more people involved in the building of a foundation of sound ideas regarding promotion, marketing, ethics, research and communication, the better the chances of developing a successful marketplace for all ratite products. It is the intent and position of the executive to support the emerging enterprise in the Maritimes, and to further expand our horizons from the breeder phase to a production and distribution phase.
The association, formed in 1996, is not for profit. Presently there are 18 members in the association. We are anticipating your participation, interest and support to benefit the growth of our shared industry.

Welcome to the ISBA web site
The International Society of Business Astrologers (ISBA) was founded in Copenhagen on 10 March 1997 at 09:09:00 a.m. GMT+1. The founder and president of the society is Karen Boesen, a Danish business astrologer with more than 30 years of experience in her field. info@businessvisions.dk www.erhvervsastrologi.dk . (In English) The mission of the society is to increase public awareness of professional financial and business astrology. Internally, the society wishes to be a source of inspiration to its members for their further professional development. Also, the society wishes to provide the foundation for a professional network between members of a profession, which often have very isolated working conditions. Externally, we wish to spread the knowledge of our profession to our target groups by arranging conferences and congresses, through articles in the daily press, radio and television interviews, and through the ISBA Journal, in which research reports and astrology-based analyses of major international companies will be published. Ethics in research
Explanations Social Research Articles Voluntary participation ... See also There are a lot of ethical considerations required in modern social research. This is a far cry from the days when cruelty or privacy were of primary concern to experimenters.
Voluntary participation
A basic principle of research is that people should not be coerced into participation, particularly when they might object to being a 'guinea pig'. This includes doing covert tests on people in the street who may otherwise never know they were participating. This can cause a dilemma for experiments that depend on people acting naturally in natural settings.
Informed consent
The principle of conformed consent is that people should know what they are getting into. This includes time that is required and the effort on their part. A dilemma occurs here when telling the person about the experiment spoils the test as informed people will act differently from uninformed people.

Department of History Ethics Protocol
Note: This protocol is meant to supplement rather than replace the established University procedures regarding ethics. In any case where this protocol is inconsistent with University policy, the University policy shall prevail. (1) All research involving interviews or other interactions with living people must go through ethics review before the research is conducted. All undergraduate students and graduate students without external sources of funding (SSHRC or FQRSC) are required to submit the Abbreviated Summary Protocol (ASPF) form (see links below), along with a project description, draft consent form and sample questions to the Departmental Ethics Officer, Dr. Eric Reiter , who examines these and grants approval or requests that modifications be made before approval be granted. Graduate students with external sources of funding must submit their project to the university ethics process using the Summary Protocol form (see below for links to the forms and instructions). (2) The Department encourages students undertaking oral history interviews to undergo training whenever possible.
