Oceanography Resources
Here you'll find links to other collections of links (i.e. metalinks), a list of available numerical ocean circulation models, various educational and enlightening documents, a guide to the scattered and varied data sets available, a list of references or three, and a guide to the graphics and imaging resources available via the Web. There's also the usual list of FTP/Gopher/WWW servers at various oceanographic institutions. Forthcoming will be an expanded (i.e. enlarged and annotated) version of the reference list(s), a more thorough review and discussion of the graphics resources (perhaps with the odd example), hopefully many more educational documents, a searchable data set collection, and much, much more on the subject of ocean circulation modeling. There'll also be an eternally growing glossary of oceanography terms as part of a larger climate/paleoclimate glossary. If you're using a graphical browser then you'll notice quite a few images of sailing vessels scattered throughout these pages. These were liberated from, amongst other places, the Age of Sail Page that contains all sorts of information about sailing past and present. More drawings and pictures of

Hi..... I was born on September 6th, 1978 a Wednesday. In Malayalam calendar, it is a Chitra Naal in Chinga Masam. I have done my studies from two different places, One is Calicut, the place where my parents were working and second is Ernakulam, where I joined for my Masters degree in Oceanography. Now I purchased 6 Cents of land at Kangarapady, Kakkanad. I hope to construct a new house there. It is just 4 Km off my working place.

    Oceanography B
Last year, this event focused on physical and geological oceanography. Physical oceanography is primarily concerned with the ocean as a physical system in which principles like conservation of mass, energy, momentum and spin play a huge role in determining what you see. Geological oceanography looks at the rocks and sediments on the ocean bottom and margins and tries to infer how that got that way and what that tells us about the history of the earth. It is also good to know about ocean currents, the thermohaline circulation, and physical features of the ocean floor.
    Reference Sheet
In 2008 you were allowed a double sided, typed (optional) reference sheet to help you and your partner. Try to include charts/diagrams and pictures that would seem beneficial to you (ex. Diagram that includes mid-ocean ridge, trenches, abyssal plane, continental drift/slope, etc.). Type small enough that you can fit more information, but not too small that you have to strain yourself to read it. Make sure you and your partner know where everything is on the sheet. Organize the data in a logical way, such as properties of oceans in one text box, sizes of famous bodies of water in another, and so on and so forth. You can write on the reference sheet if you deem it necessary. To fit more information on the sheet, you can decrease the margins of the paper.
