Second half and Rangers opened the scoring with a nice display of short ice passing. Raptors lifted a gear and responded with a barrage of shots on goal but the keeper was stopping everything. Finally, Raptors sneaking one through after a JC Huet shot found Kerryn Lawler with the one timer. Some confusion over the goal but the referee was right on the spot and declared the ball had passed the goal line. Raptors grabbed the lead soon after after a Bryn Shepherd bullet from halfway. Kerryn Lawler bagged a double for the night after some great work from Dani Mitrevski behind the net found Kerryn open in front of goals. Fulltime 3-1 Raptors.

The Flock Story: Too Much Time On Our Hands We're not just bored. We're bored, unskilled and kind of dumb. Based on that fact alone, its almost destiny that we ventured into the world of moderately competitive broomball (the equivalent of beer-league wiffleball in the ice-bound sports world). But it was more than just destiny that turned this incredibly less than average team into the sports entertainment powerhouse that the world knows today.
It was the inspired genius of founder Jon Passman that brought this collection of talentless rabble together. It is the endless support of our fans who sadly have nothing better to do than to watch men sweat on ice. It is the tireless effort of the players that has turned such motivation and drive into so few wins. It is the complete lack of a life that has led to cool websites, trips to faraway lands and numerous hot tubs spreading the gospel of Flock. But more than anything it is the fact that we're in on the joke that makes us one of the most fun, enjoyable, and entertaining collections people ever to be associated with Broomball. Sure, we may not be winning a title anytime soon (other than "Most Likely to Laugh at Flatulence Jokes"), but damn if we don't have more fun than anyone else doing it. About Broomball
What is Broomball? Broomball is a winter sport played in ice arenas and community parks throughout the country. It is a game very similar to hockey in its formation and rules, but also incorporates some soccer strategies. The game is played on a hockey rink with two teams consisting of six players on each side (a goalie, two defensemen and three forwards). Similar to hockey and soccer, the object of the game is to score more goals than the opposing team. A player uses a stick (a shaft with a molded broom-shaped head) to maneuver a six-inch diameter ball up and down the ice. Instead of skates, players wear spongy-soled shoes to gain traction when running on the slippery surface. Let's dispel the myths!
Since broomball is still a growing sport, there are many misconceptions about it. Myth #1: Broomball is played on grass.
Fact: Broomball is played on ice. Specifically, a hockey rink. Myth #2: Players sweep a stone across the ice and try to knock other stones out of a circle.
Fact: No, that's curling. Broomball is very similar to hockey. We share many of the same rules as hockey, but instead of a puck, we use a ball and instead of skates, we use shoes.
