Ice Report
Updated: 3/28/2010 10:36:09 AM WARNING - Please read: Ice climbing is truly a dangerous activity. Care and judgment born out of experience are imperative. Weather and ice conditions change hourly and what may appear to be "good conditions" to one climber may not be so to another. Please remember that just because a conditions report says that a particular climb is "in", each individual is ultimately responsible for making his/her own climbing decisions. GENERAL SCENE CLIMBS/AREAS Last Ice Report! There still is ice in a few places and the weekend was cold so it has actually been good climbing. Both the North face of Gothics and the Trap Dyke are in good shape. Things will change as temperatures will get warm again this week... CHAPEL POND REGION Pretty much done this coming week... CASCADE PASS REGION Done NORTH SIDE OF PITCHOFF As usual this is the last place to hold out in March. Still getting climbed and actually pretty good in places but not for long... POKE-O-MOONSHINE Done MINEVILLE PILLAR Done ROARING BROOK FALLS Done MULTI-GULLEY Done or almost done...

Many of us tend to write down what routes we do - especially if they were of a particular memorable nature or if you for some reason are monitoring yourself and your level of activity. When putting it on the web it can either be used as a convenient storage space for your own personal log file which nobody else can see, but with all the search and sorting features still intact - or if you are a bit more exhibitionist you choose to make your logfile public, share it, and see other public logfiles for information and inspiration for your next adventure. Browse the climbing or caving logs or register now and start logging.
