    Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the difference between an x-back racing harness , and an H-back harness ? Can I use an x-back harness or a H-back harness for ski-joring as well as dogsledding, or roller blading?
Yes you can use either an x-back racing/recreational harness, or a H-back harness for all three sports as well as for bike-joring. The difference between an x-back harness and a H-back harness is the fit. H-back harness is better suited to long lean dogs.
What is the difference between a semi-slip collar and a buckle choke collar ? Does my dog need a correction collar? What is a flyball collar
A semi-slip or reduced choke collar, has a stop, this allows you to correct the dog without the collar continuously tightening. A semi slip collar is useful in teaching dogs not to back out of their collars. A buckle choke collar, can be either a full choke, or no choke, for training and everyday walking. Flyball collars have a handle built into them this collar is very useful for keeping your dog close when someone comes to the door.

ABOUT US TRIPS 2010 PHOTOS ... EAGLE ICE JAM / FLOOD JANUARY SPECIAL Come experience Alaska wilderness at it's most extreme. Book a trip for whatever dates work for you during the first two weeks of January. Or just get with us with any questions. Trip special is $300.00 per person, per day limited to 1 or 2 people per tour to give the most solitude and true wilderness experience that can be provided...unless you ask for a larger group. KENNEL UPDATE Oct 25th...third day of ice flowing in the river. It started with some slush on the 22nd which formed into ice pans on the 23rd. This picture was taken yesterday. Each day will have the ice pans thickening and growing larger, with pans freezing together and forming much larger ice formations. This will continue until ice is strong enough to jam in narrow or shallow spots. Then travel on the Yukon will begin again only this time over the ice and not in the water. Oct 20th...2 inches of snow on the ground but the river is still ice free. We went to town yesterday and drove through the road construction to the 40-Mile and put up the tent that we use sometimes and the Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race mushers use as a rest stop in February. Last week the guys went downriver to drop off a cache of supplies for winter touring and had 2 bull moose come out to see them. The pics are of the one that heard them rattling around in the brush and swam the Yukon before coming up within feet of the boat. Our son, Matt had placed himself up on the bank to get the picture as he walked by.

Nothing Happened 2001 - Most of our runs ended up on Tennessee MUSH New! - First Run: First Wreck (Ms Beaveri PissedOfferous) Bliss Sacco I'm Dyin' Here ... 3rd Annual Southern Exposure They are sled dogs, after all, our Alaskan Malamutes and Siberian Huskies, and their heritage, and greatest joy, is running. But in our modern and crowded time, running free is a death sentence. Our lively, intelligent, social sled dogs have no more road sense than a squirrel, AND they have a fascination with all other animals, living and dead. They love to play and don't understand why horses give out and goats a re cranky and cats well, cats are the most fun of all if you are doing the chasing... So what we do here to harness (Sorry, for the pun) all that lovely energy is: during the day they are in a big, open play yard with lots of shade and wading pools and a great big hill for them to charge down. At night they come in with us. And every chance we get that it's below 50 degrees we harness them up and release the sled brake and away we go . (For those of you who have never seen a dogsled team in person, animal abuse is the one you leave behind!)
