  • During summer time, we generally run every Tuesday night and Sunday morning in the Baamboesch.
    During winter time, we used to go South in the "Gaalgebierg - Galgenberg" close to Esch-sur-Alzette
    where one can find a 2.2 km circuit enlightened at night > Gaalgebierg
    We use to run sometimes in the forest and on the sidewalk between Strassen and Luxembourg city exp. Val-Fleuri
    We also meet early in the morning, 06h40, every Tuesday and Thursday at the Spora for at least one hour run.

I was an avid runner before having a baby and, to my surprise, I became even more of one after my daughter was born. I thought it would be the opposite but, after she was born, I just did not have the time to drive to the gym, get a good workout and get home in between breastfeeding, burping, changing, etc. Since I needed to stay in shape, I decided to just run around my city and take her with me! Put her in the stroller, go for a run and she naps peacefully while getting out for a bit too!
    Going the Cheap Route
    When I decided to buy a jogging stroller, I looked at many of them and decided on a Jeep model from Babies R Us. It seemed sturdy and the price was right. It was only about $150 and, since I already had a main stroller that was over $300, I really didn't want to spend another $300-400 on a jogging stroller that I was not sure I would use much. I was not sure if my daughter would like it, was not sure if she would sleep in it, was not sure if she would STAY asleep in it so, why spend a lot of money when I was not sure if it would work out.
    Well, to my surprise, after I began running, I loved it. I loved getting out of the house, getting my daughter out and getting a good workout with her. The problem was, the stroller!! It was not quite as sturdy as I thought.. It was rickety and made noises after just a few runs. The front wheel did not swivel so, if I took the stroller into a store to use the restroom, buy water, etc, it was impossible to maneuver. The stroller was also not very smooth. If I pushed it, it would roll only a little bit and then stop. Sure it had nice gadgets, such as an

    Jogging is probably the easiest way you can burn those calories and reduce fat deposits and it is also the most ignored. People tend to go for high tech gym workoutsbut easily forget that a simple running exercise like jogging can help them get far more benefits than any hard workout can. Here are some important jogging tips for beginners.
    What is Jogging?
    Jogging is a low impact form of exercise which involves running slowly at a pace of six miles per hour. Some other light impact exercises in addition to jogging are stair climbing, swimming, cycling or walking instead of jogging. We will discuss these later.
    Beginning with jogging
    The best time to jog is in the morning. So set your alarm and wake up around six in the morning. If you find that difficult, make it 7 am. But beyond that you will not be able to get the maximum benefit of jogging. This is because early in the morning, the air is fresh and the oxygen content in the air is high. When you jog in the mornings and gasp for breath your lungs are filled with oxygen which is needed to burn off calories. As the day progresses, the oxygen content in the air reduces and thereby you lose something you could have so easily got if only you got up a few hours early.
