There is quite a variety of Nordic skiing in the Teton Valley. We groom three venues -Teton Canyon, Alta, and Teton Springs-on a regular basis with environmentally friendly 4-stroke Yamaha snowmobiles. All TVTAP venues are free to the community. Maintenance and care are supported by donations and volunteers Grand Targhee Resort has Nordic skiing in Rick's Basin and requires a ski pass. Teton Canyon is our most popular venue. With spectacular views of the Tetons and a dog friendly environment, the 13 kilometer round trip track is used by a wide variety of recreationists. It's groomed almost daily with a Pisten Bully snowcat as well as a 4-stroke Yamaha snowmobile. The trailhead is off ski hill road at the end of Teton Canyon Road. Alta Track, also dog friendly, has 10 kilometers of looped track with great views of the Tetons. The trailhead is in Alta behind the Church and across the parking lot from the school. As a courtesy to the school, please park in the Church parking lot. Teton Springs, located on the

Each offer different terrain, varied lengths of groomed trail and excellent views. The Telluride Nordic Association, through charitable donations and fundraising efforts, manages the trails and posts a daily grooming report . Pets are permitted in Mountain Village, Priest Lake and Trout Lake. Please sign in when visiting Trout Lake and Priest Lake. Welcome to the KNSC website. This web site is provided to share the enjoyment of cross-country skiing on the southern Kenai Peninsula. The Kachemak Nordic Ski Club is dedicated to the promotion of Nordic skiing in the Kachemak Bay area and hopes this site offers useful information regarding our trail system as well as upcoming events. We currently maintain over 70 kilometers of groomed trails at the Baycrest, McNeil Canyon-Eveline, and Lookout Mountain trail systems. All three areas are groomed for classic as well as skate skiing and are located close to the town of Homer. Each area offers varying terrain with opportunities for panoramic views of Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountains. The Trail Conditions page maintains a list showing the most recent trail conditions. In addition, trail users can post a comment on this page letting the rest of us know the condition of the trails you skied today. There may be a delay with your first post, but approved users are encouraged to help keep our information up to date. The Events Calendar lists the date, time, location, and other information for each of our events. The Events Information page gives more detail about each of the events.  Information about upcoming events and race results can be found at the right.

Glide along classic tracks or skate the lanes of McCall's six magnificent Nordic skiing venues and you will see why Nordic skiing is a very popular and fast growing winter sport of Ski Town USA! Dogs are welcome on designated trails in all venues. Nordic skiing is affordable whether you pay as you go or if you purchase an annual "Primo Pass" good at Ponderosa Park, the Little Ski Hill, Little Bear Basin, Jug Mountain Ranch, Tamarack Resort and the Activity Barn. The pass costs $159 for individuals and $280 for a family pass. No better deal exists in McCall or elsewhere! McCall is a dream come true for cross country skiiers at all experience levels. Area trails and venues are diverse and expertly maintained, whether for cross country or skate skiing. Ponderosa Park www.parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/parks/ponderosa.aspx There's one very good reason Ponderosa Park was chosen as the site of the 2008 Masters World Cup, the premier worldwide Nordic skiing competition - Ponderosa Park and McCall are home to some of the best cross country trails in the world! Fourteen miles of cross country ski trails run throughout Ponderosa Park which is located on a 1,000 acre peninsula that splits Payette Lake just two miles north of downtown McCall. Trails are heavily forested with level and rolling hills to ridge tops that offer spectacular views of Payette Lake. At no additional charge, dogs are welcome on the "Rover's Roundabout" trail and if you have a Park 'N Ski pass the $4 entrance fee is waived.

59. Edinburgh University Nordic Ski Club
ENSC and styles, equipment, routes, safety, newsletter, and contacts.
http://nordic.eusu.ed.ac.uk/
EUNSC is a club devoted to hurling ourselves downhill in various states of disarray, preferably when the hill is covered in snow. We are interested in the whole spectrum of off-piste skiing, including alpine ski-mountaineering, nordic style hut to hut touring and mountain telemarking. We are a very small club, so we tend to meet for dinner in each other's houses, where we bring food to share and chat about skiing (and maybe other things as well). Anyone is welcome to join and come along, just email us and we'll let you know when the next meeting is (usually monday night). Snowfall in Scotland is a fickle mistress, and going nordic skiing demands quite alot of flexibilty and last minute planning, but with enthusiasm it is quite possible to ski on many days throughout the winter. We have managed a quite few days of touring this year, a great trip to Firbush , (the uni outdoor centre on Loch Tay) to learn telemark skiing, 3 seperate trips involving club members to Norway to practise our telemarking, and some comedy practise with the rollerskis underneath Salisbury Crags (urban skiing!). We are a section of the Edinburgh Uni Mountaineering Club , who run loads of regular meets to snowy parts of Scotland during the winter, not to mention some brilliant socials! Joint membership costs 25 pounds, which gives you access to their buses and trips for the whole year or 10 pounds for access to their winter meets. You also get access to the kit in both club lockups, and it lets you go to Firbush...bargain! Most of the club members are keen mountaineers/general outdoor types and during the summer months we are frequently to be found in the hills somewhere.
