    About Eagle Tae-Kwon-Do
    HOUSTON, TEXAS
Mr. Denny as the Pastor of Greater Life Praise and Worship Center, on 34 th . At Ella Blvd. began teaching in the recreation room of the Church and continued to do so until the program outgrew that facility. We then had two other changes of venue until our present location at Champion Forest Baptist Church on the North side of Houston. Our locations have changed and our affiliations have changed but our dedication and commitment to the Art has never wavered. On February 25th 2003 Eagle expanded to the far West side by becoming associated with Kingsland Baptist Church on Kingsland Blvd. in Katy. This growth comes after much prayer and patience. We now can bring the same dedication and commitment to our great Art to the West side of Houston. We are now members of the American Taekwon-Do Federation International, headed by Master Fabian Nunez, of Odessa, Texas. The ATFI is an Independent National Association of the International Taekwon-Do Federation headed by Master Tran,Quan.
Our aim is to continue the tradition and quality of what we feel to be the greatest Martial Art in existence today. One of our goals is to make Houston, Texas the strongest TKD city in the USA. As our students grow and increase in quality education, we are happy to see them become responsible, dedicated, Christian Martial Artists, and all around wonderful people.

TAE KWON DO Tae Kwon Do: meaning Hand and Foot fighting
In contrast to HapKiDo, Tae Kwon Do focuses primarily on punching and kicking, and has a large repertoire of kicks that can be thrown from all different angles.
Self defence is also developed, again emphasizing on kicks and punches to directly repel opponents.
A variety of patterns and forms are taught, designed to reinforce the blocks and strikes learned in class by combining them into choreographed movements. As students progress through the "ranks", increasingly complex forms are introduced.
Students will learn the traditional art as developed by General Choi , and passed to Grandmaster Chung Kee Tae , who in turn passed it on to Master Murray
* Note: The Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do, not the sport, is instructed here.
Translated from Korean, "Tae" (t'ae) literally means to jump or kick or smash with the foot. "Kwon" denotes a fist - chiefly to punch or destroy with the hand or fist. "Do" means an art, or way or method. Thus taken collectively Tae Kwon Do Indicates the technique of unarmed combat for self defence involving the skilled application of punches, flying kicks, blocks, dodges and interceptions with the hands, arms and feet. Even if Tae Kwon Do Is practiced for the sake of exercise alone, the enjoyment derived will justify the time Invested and spent. As an exercise, it is equally suitable for the old and young.

    Brief Explanation Of Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a martial art originating from the days of tribal communities on the Korean Peninsula. It was developed amongst the tribes as a means of preserving their own life and race as well as building both physical and mental strength. Literally translated TaeKwonDo means ‘the way of the fist and foot.’ The most important part of the word is ‘Do’ as this translated means ‘the correct way.’ Learning to kick and punch are only physical attributes. By practicing Do and the principles of Taekwondo, students become overall martial artists both physically and mentally. Hence, TaeKwonDO, Kim Chung DO Kwan, Mu DO, Pal Chung DO, Do has relevance in everything we learn. Taekwondo if learnt correctly is a very technical martial art which results in students learning how to generate maximum power in relation to their size and build. Although Taekwondo practitioners perform a lot of upper body techniques such as blocking and striking, what differentiates Taekwondo from Other martial arts is its superior kicking techniques. However, depending on age and ability not everyone is expected to have superior kicking skill. Taekwondo is truly for anyone who wants to practice.

Game Description
Tae Kwon Do is one of the most popular martial arts in the world. A Korean art with Japanese influences, Tae Kwon Do has spread to other parts of the world. You are a student of Tae Kwon Do, and want to make a name for yourself by participating in tournaments and becoming the best Tae Kwon Do fighter in the world. Tae Kwon Do is a 2D side-view fighting game that manages to set itself apart because of a few very distinct elements. You can choose from 19 fighters of six different fighting styles, each with his own attributes and stock of martial arts techniques. If you're not satisfied with any of them, you can even create your own character by assigning attributes the way you want and choosing your techniques. Each fight lasts for one round of two minutes. There are three ways to win the fight. You can last the full two minutes and outscore your opponent by connecting with more high point attacks. You can knock your opponent down five times within the two minutes by hitting him when he's off balance. Finally, you can wear your opponent down with strong attacks and knock him out. There are no health bars, but you can determine the approximate health level of fighters. At the beginning of fights the fighters are fresh and upright on their feet. As they get progressively more tired they slump over and drop their guard. When a fighter is bent over and keeping one hand on his leg to support himself he's susceptible to a knockdown.
