change Weight training and bodybuilding
Although weight training is similar to bodybuilding , they have different objectives. Bodybuilders use weight training to improve their body image by developing their muscles for size, shape, and symmetry regardless of any increase in strength for competition in bodybuilding contests; they train to maximize their muscular size and develop extremely low levels of body fat . In contrast, many weight trainers train to improve their strength and anaerobic endurance while not giving special attention to reducing body fat far below normal.

Diet and cardio are equally important, but when it comes to changing how your body looks, weight training wins hands down. If you've hesitated to start a strength training program, it may motivate you to know that lifting weights can:
    • Help raise your metabolism. Muscle burns more calories than fat, so the more muscle you have, the more calories you'll burn all day long.
    • Strengthen bones, especially important for women

What is Weight Training? Weight training is the action of routinely lifting weights to increase muscle size, strength and endurance. Most muscles can benefit from weight training. Weight training is done through a series of repetitions. A repetition refers to how many times an exercise is repeated during one set. For example, doing 3 sets of 10 repetitions on a bench press means doing 10 bench presses, resting, and then repeating two more times. As muscle strength and endurance increase, the weight used must be periodically increased if further gains are desired. Warm-up Sessions Before you start each weight training session, you should perform warm-up activities. A proper warm-up session includes stretching all the major muscle groups, 5 minutes of light aerobic activity (walking, cycling) followed by stretching of all the major muscle groups. IFBB Pro Mercedes Khani Performing Body Sculpting Training www.mercedes-khani.com More Images zSB(3,3) When it comes to weight training routines there are generally two types of routines that come to mind: bodysculpting and bodybuilding routines.
The first type of training is used by the group who just wants to firm up and lose body fat. This can be accomplished by adding some muscle and losing bodyfat in order to tighten up. A good long term goal to aim for is to lose enough body fat so that you can reach a 13-16% body fat range if you are a woman and between 8-10% if you are a guy. This sort of training can be referred to as body sculpting training.
The second type of training is bodybuilding training. For bodybuilders, the main goal is to add pounds after pounds of muscle mass while taking their body fat levels to a neighborhood of 8-10% and in some instances, like a bodybuilding contest, even less, going as far as 3-4% body fat.

    Find an instructor.
Find an instructor who can help you learn how to do the exercises correctly. Good technique is one of the most important ways to avoid injury. A high school coach or athletic trainer can help you. If a college is located in your town, the weight coach for the varsity athletic teams may be able to give you advice or recommend another instructor. The National Strength and Conditioning Association may also be able to recommend a qualified coach in your area. Advice from people who have never learned good technique themselves, such as parents, friends, coaches or other weight lifters, may not be correct. Books can help, but nothing beats personal coaching.
