The energy alone is enough to help you shed fat because your workouts will be long and intense. You will also find it easier to cut calories as RoxyLean ECA kills appetite. Weight training is a way for kids to keep fit and improve core body strength. Each session should begin with a warm-up, preferably a cardiovascular exercise such as walking or jogging. Followed by one exercise that provides a workout for each main muscle group. The weight training session should end with a "cooling down" light activity. Teenbodybuilding.com emphasises that proper form and execution of the weight training workout is far more important than the amount of weights carried.

  • Mayo Clinic recommends only light workouts for kids with less resistance and controlled, supervised movements. The emphasis should be on proper technique and safety at all times. SpineUniverse.com suggests that children shouldn't immediately start with free weights. Instead, they should perform exercises that utilize their own body weight such as pushups, lunges, pull ups, leg lifts, crunches and situps. They can also exercise on a bar with no additional weights 8 to 15 repetitions with a range 6 to 8 different exercises, for 20 to 30 minutes, twice or three times a week. Ensure there is a day of rest between workouts to give young muscles a chance to recuperate.

    The thing is, these magazines are totally biased. All the major ones also own a supplement company and they profit from getting you hooked. And their workouts are typically geared towards people who use steroids.
    This leads normal guys to believing a lot of things that aren't true. If you were working your ass off but didn't see the results, wouldn't you be pissed?

    Weight Training Off Season this typically follows the last race of the season, usually in October. Most athletes benefit from some downtime in this phase. Downtime helps both the body and mind recover from the race season. The idea is that you want to rest enough so that you feel like getting back into training. Some professional triathletes take a whole month off from all physical activity. Pre-Season this phase encompasses the few weeks before your first race and extends into the early season of the race schedule. It is designed to increase the muscular endurance in the muscles which you have spent the last few weeks making stronger. In this phase we change from high weight/low reps to low weight/high reps. In other words, we decrease the amount of weight we're lifting but we do more repetitions - typically 12-15 reps but we may do even more. 12-15 reps are generally considered the norm for high rep lifting, however some athletes, such as triathletes or cyclists, can benefit from the occasional leg workout where very high reps - 20-50 - are incorporated into the routine to simulate the stresses of sustained climbing. You can still do the same exercises and number of sets but just change the weight and number of reps. If you find you can do 15 reps of a certain weight too easily, then increase the weight. Pre-season is also a good time to add Plyometrics to a training program.
