Extractions: Nikolay Gennadiyevich Basov est né le 14 décembre 1922 dans la petite ville d'Usman près de Voronezh, le fils de Gennady Fedorovich Basov et Zinaida Andreevna Molchanova. Son père était un professeur de l'Institut de Forêt de Voronezh et a consacré sa vie à l'enquête de l'influence de ceintures de forêt sur des eaux souterraines et sur le drainage superficiel. Après la fin du collège d'enseignement général en 1941 à Voronezh Basov a été appelé pour le service militaire et adressé (dirigé) à l'Académie Médicale Militaire Kuibyshev. En 1943 il a laissé (quitté) l'Académie avec la qualification de l'aide d'un docteur militaire. Il a servi dans l'Armée Soviétique et a participé à la Deuxième Guerre mondiale au secteur ofthe le Front D'abord Ukrainien. En décembre 1945, il a été démobilisé et est entré à l'Institut de Moscou d'Ingénieurs Physiques où il a étudié la physique théorique et expérimentale. De 1950 à 1953 il était un étudiant d'étudiant de troisième cycle de l'Institut de Moscou d'Ingénieurs Physiques. Ce temps-là, Basov travaillait sur sa thèse au P.N. Lebedev Institut Physique de l'Académie de Sciences, l'URSS, sous les conseils de Professeur M.A. Leontovich et Professeur du matin. Prochorov.
